It wasn't a good idea to start with a formation that NOBODY in this WHOLE world would make, except for Donadoni. I can't stop talking about the formation against the Netherlands. He is such a joke, I fvcking hate him. While I was watching the game with hundreds Oranje fans, the 2nd half started and the commentator said ; the teams are back on the pitch, and it seems like there have been no substitutions.

Surely you can't write off Ramos because of one game. Puyol may be overrated but that doesn't mean he's bad. Capdevilla is a decent LB, I have seen quite a few games for him this season with Villareal and he always performs well. Marchenna is also a solid CB. I see how their defense could be considered their weakest point, but that is only because of their superb midfield and attack. However, their defense is far from being considered a weakness. It's far better than Germany and Holland, and in my opinion, stronger than Portugal at the moment.

Reports: Donadoni To Drop Five Players
According to reports in Italy, Roberto Donadoni is to make wholesale changes for the match against Romania, and that means a place for both Alessandro Del Piero and Antonio Cassano.
Donadoni has been crucified in the Italian press for his team selection during the diabolical 3-0 defeat to Holland in their Group C opener on Monday night.
The Azzurri now know that they simply have to beat Romania this Friday or else they are all but out of Euro 2008. According to reports in Italy, Donadoni will change half of the team that started against the Dutch.
The disastrous 4-3-3 formation will be scrapped in favour of a more familiar 4-3-1-2. Marco Materazzi, Gennaro Gattuso, Mauro Camoranesi and Antonio Di Natale will all be banished to the bench, as will probably Andrea Barzagli.
Fabio Grosso and Giorgio Chiellini will certainly start in defence, Daniele De Rossi will be brought into the midfield, while Antonio Cassano will play as the trequartista behind Alessandro Del Piero, who will partner Luca Toni up-front.

A bit off-topic, a different view on the dubious goal by Holland:

How is that rule stupid? If you stand in front of the goalie and effectively block his view then you are participating/altering the play, thus the play needs to be stopped should that player be offside. Otherwise you could just stand right in front of the goalkeeper and hew wouldn't see shit.
Now in 2003 Buffon never had a chance to get Sheva's shot, so yes that was a bullshit ruling. The US goal however was rightfully disallowed.

Donadoni is doing the right thing.My only concern would be if he stills picks one of Panucci or Barzalgi for the central defence.

Cassano is more suited in that role than Del Piero.Toni will obviously play ahead of both Del Piero and Cassano..but this is a very good attacking move.
Dropping Gattuso is right,but Ambrosini should get the axe too.Bring in Perotta for him.

One of the many complaints about the 3-0 defeat to Holland on Monday night was the impotency of the Italian attack. Antonio Di Natale and Mauro Camoranesi both had poor games on the wings, while Luca Toni was often left isolated as the first striker.
Things improved greatly deep into the second half after the introduction of Del Piero and Cassano, and there is now a fully blown press campaign for both these players to start against Romania. Toni himself is certainly in favour of this.
"The second half [against Holland] was much better because Cassano and Del Piero gave a hand not only to me but to the whole team,” said Toni.
“They did some good things.”
Full back Gianluca Zambrotta also admits that things were much better in the second half.
"We were better after the break,” echoed the 31-year-old.
