I like the way the transfers have been organized so far. It makes sense to snap up the frees first then proceed with the smaller fees, before we look at the critical areas of the two centre backs and a long-term Nedved replacement.

Milito ( I have a horrible feeling he is off to Real Madrid though)is key and with Tiago (hopefully made official Friday) as a back four of a diamond shaped midfield it sounds OK to me. Almiron having medical this afternoon and will according to the media be offically bianconero Thursday.

I still believe we have a good chance of signing Van der Vaart though Hamburger SV will be tricky negotiators. If we cannot get VdV who is the best alternative?
Finally news is expected on the outcome of the negotiations to keep Trezegol at Turin in the next 48 hrs says RAI Sport. If he goes, I think Bianchi may be the replacement. Don't discount Quagliarella though.
nooooooooooo...:p
no VDV then diego

I dont like Bianqui but I really like Quaglierra & what about Huntelaar??
as for Milito I think he will be ours very soon madrid are focusing more now on the coach issue, mitzelder & Kaka.I dont think Milito is their top priority right now & that why I think we should get him as soon as possible!!

i think the almiron deal shows that our board is studying a long term strategy...
were givin them co ownership rights on 2 players who will never have a bianconeri future imo plus giovinco will get much needed experience from both the serie a and the uefa cup which may xhelp him progress immensely....
and for a fee of 3.5 million i think this deal is pretty impressive as from what ive seen from almiron hes an above average player which stimes can pull out sthing special even though his workrate worries me a bit

Dopo Iaquinta, Sergio Almiron.

Juve Sign Almiron - Report

The Bianconeri seem to have finally reached an agreement with Empoli for the transfer of the Argentinean midfielder according to 'Tuttosport'.

It has been a busy week for the Old Lady in terms of transfers and on Tuesday evening another deal seems to have gone through. After Iaquinta's official announcement of his transfer to the Bianconeri, it was the turn of Sergio Almiron to sign for Juventus.

This was reported this morning by daily Turin-based sports newspaper 'Tuttosport', which stated that the deal was sealed. Empoli will apparently receive the co-ownership of Matteo Paro and Rey Volpato, the loan transfer of Sebastian Giovinco and 3.5 million Euros.

Juventus had been following the player for the past months after Almiron had caught the eye of various big European clubs with his performances at Empoli this season, in which he scored 6 goals from 30 matches played for the Tuscan club in Serie A.

I don't expect us to let go of Criscito anytime soon, never. Criscito with Palladino and Marchisio are our hot prospects for the coming few seasons, especially the first one who was one of the best players in Serie B this season plus being a regular starter in Italy U-21, very weak rumour as I see. Besides, we've been in talks with Empoli over Almiron's deal months ago, so changing the deal at the last moment is nonsensical if you ask me.

Criscito is 22, was the defence leader of Genua and the U21 team.
There is no point why we should loan him becuz he's Serie A player no doubt.
Plus, we are kind of short in the CB position and i would rather see mimo there than boumsong.
