Obafemi Martins has declared to italian sports newspaper Tuttosport that if Juventus interest would be confirmed he wouldn't mind to move to Turin, although he is very well at Newcastle.
f*ck him, he pissed me off yesturday, and he comes across to me as one of those mercenary type players who will jump ship at the moment of any problems

Iaquinta is an "adequate" forward who will score 1 out of 4 or 5 chances. A good one like Trez gets 2. It may not sound like much of a difference but when it really matters...
& BTW, I like Iaquinta, I see him as more of an assist man, good "off the ball."

hes played one real game so far. Did you expect him to score 3 goals or something? It's dumb to judge a footballer on one friendly when he isn't even fit yet.

i actually wouldn't mind selling zalayeta and picking up martins as a sub. As long as his price isn't too ridiculous.
Nice idea, but Martins would never now accept only being a sub. Then again as you probably know he said the other day he wouldn't mind coming to Juve...the boy misses Italia!

Along with Zebina he was our worst player though. He wasted four good scoring opportunities, two of them all he had to do was pass the ball for David to tap in. Iaquinta seems like a very selfish player to be honest. I've always thought that about him.

he is a selfish player and while he did score 15 or so goals last year he does waste a lot of chances. But come on, its his first game. When he does score, which he will, people will jump back on the iaquinta train. People will hold their tongue until the player has a bad game and then say I told you so.

Iaquinta, Marchionni and Molinaro should all be given a chance. They can't shine so early in the season...
