That must be heaven for someone like Reus if they want to experience life in the US for a year or 2.

Early retirement where you're still making great money, live in nice weather year round and near the beach, and you can go walk around in public anywhere and maybe 1% of people there will know who you are (or even care).

Plus, the MLS has a great fan base where almost all of the cities support their local teams well with filled stadiums. It's a great way to end your career.
