He was good for Liverpool because the team was build around him. Also, he is not a fantastic player, stop spreading lies. He is average, always have been.
Not really. First it was built around Suarez, then a philosophy. He’s suffered from bad coaching in Barcelona. He’d be a fantastic addition into a system with a solid manager.

Not that he's a bad player, but neither is/was James. It's just that his position doesn't really exist under Kovac and it's pretty much a panic move imo. Chances are he'll have to play as makeshift winger, not really his best position. He probably will be able to rack up good numbers due to his quality, but still look somewhat like a misfit and out of place for big chunks of the game.
It’s going to be a similar situation as Barcelona.

I still maintain that he's a soft touch. He was also very inconsistent for Liverpool and playing for one of the two best coaches for attacking players. But when he was on it he was very good and scored some great goals. He reminds me of Dybala in this sense.
