Have so much money to have this kind of guys at the end. Almost half of a Mbappe for an alcoholic born of an incestuous relationship, tough to be union fan.

Irrespective of how Harry Maguire looks, he’d be an astute purchase for Utd. £90m or not, they have the money and they need a competent centre-half.

Utd fans would be delighted with this.

He's very good but not world class. United are just paying what they have to and can, as Dantes said. He's also a starter for England. United are bent over a barrel as Leicester have no requirement to sell and the league is awash with money.

What would you need to pay to get Romagnoli, maybe €50m? That's because Milan are crippled by FFP.

Premier League is insane.

we need to buy some young english prospects, develope them in our World Class environment then sell them to thirsty premier league sides for a massive profit.

1. That’s not true and is hyperbolic.
2. I don’t think the PL gives a shit what people think, especially when it fills all four slots in the European finals.

Liverpool (and to an extent Tottenham) is the only team that has bought smartly. Chelsea, United, Arsenal, and City have all spent tons and tons of money on overpriced players. City had an excellent team to begin with, so they're fine, but the other three clubs have no clue what they're doing on the transfer market.

Some German teams are doing that. It’s a sound idea. It’s win/win, the wealth gets distributed beyond PL and our players get better exposure to the rest of the world - different cultures and systems etc.

Oh, I can agree there. And will happily take up any opportunity to bash Arsenal and Chelsea.

Some PL teams definitely have more money than sense. Utd never used to be in that bracket, and always used to be very astute commercially but they’re in a hole now and if they want to get out of it quickly it’s going to cost a lot of money and way over market value.

if you want, but anyway the English live in a parallel world. I thought ADL was exaggerating by asking more than 100 million for Koulibaly, but in fact I find it very reasonable when maguire is worth 90 million and Mustafi 40 million.
When I see the money spent by the English clubs, I always bewildered and bit jealous, if we had these budgets with the competent people at the club we could have a team at level of Real and Barca.

You pay the best CBs for that price, he isnt nowhere near that. He is heading specialist who is an alright mid level CB, that is far from being worthy that sum. Should half at best. The list of defenders better then him are long.
