I prefer him playing a bit deeper as he can get on the ball more and because I don't think he's productive enough in the final third to be a trequartista.
He's a nice player, but needs a fair bit of work to become someone who could be relied upon to be consistently decisive.
If you want a comparison, I'd probably be pointing to someone along the lines of Iniesta in terms of style of play.
