For the Mexicans/Portuguees league followers among us the following question:
Anybody here who can tell me how good Diego Reyes from Porto is?
According to sources in Belgium, Anderlecht is closing in on him.
Not seen him that much to be honest with you. I really like Héctor Herrera, the central midfielder though.

He was already in Porto before I got here, but consensus is that he's okay. Not a world beater. If he's moving from Porto to Anderlecht it looks like his stock is not on the rise at least on the club level. He has played a lot as a young player (most as a sub, but he was on the WC team) for the Mexican NT and he's only 22 so Anderlecht could be a decent rebounding position.

Now Hector Herrera, that fucker's the real deal.

Can't remember the last time an Aberdeen player was linked with big clubs.

No reason to think he'll end up in Italy, but it does suggest the world is waking up to just how good he is, unfortunately.

Very few defensive midfielders as calm and intelligent as him at his age.

OK so in all, for a club as Anderlecht, a good player.
And Herrera, yes, but after 6MEuro for Defour, I doubt Herrera is a reachable target for us.

 and to think we paid less for Tevez still... i bet the ultras will be dancing and raving about galliani's stroke of genius
Carlitos had his contract running out plus he was ignored in City (so is Destro but at least he scored some goals). And it's January so his price is kinda high-ish.

Milan also wants to bring Taarabt.

So it's Taarabt, Destro and Bocchetti.

i think destro will do well for milan. at least kind of.
imo he is a good striker and roma handled his situation poorly, even though they got quite some money out of a desperate milan side in january.

meanwhile:

‘Luiz Adriano wants to stay’

Roma’s mooted move for Luiz Adriano appears to be off, with Shakhtar Donetsk saying he wants to stay in Ukraine.
The Brazilian striker was thought to be close to the Giallorossi, with Mattia Destro seemingly on his way to Milan. However, the reason for the Lupi’s interest in Yevhen Konoplyanka may now be clear, as Shakhtar say he’ll be staying with them.
“He wants to stay in Ukraine,” the club’s CEO Sergei Palkin told footbalua.tv.
“He’s considering the offer of a contract extension from Shakhtar.”

I also think Destro will do well in Milan, especially if they get a proper winger too. He's not a joy to watch but he does know to position himself quite good. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't like poachers. But then again, no, I didn't want him at Juve.

As for the article, I think they'll sign Konoplyanka now in January.

Yeah, Destro is a guy who will score goals.

Milan need a CF that they trust.

Roma have limited use for a player such as Destro who isn't compatible with Totti in their 4-3-3.

It's a fairly logical move all round.

Yep. Although I still think playing Totti doesn't make much sense. But one thing is for sure and it's that they can't play together.

He's ok. Can play as a CDM or CB, he's got a good touch on the ball. Improved a lot in his last year~ in Mexico. Haven't seen him in Porto, since he never seems to make appearances for Porto anymore. The times I've seen him in the NT since his move, I've never been convived by his performances. He needs to improve his physic a lot to be a good center back in Europe.

Still has a lot to learn.
