It's not a World Cup and England, is it? Baines is 29 and has no (?) CL games and one abysmal tournament on his record. He's the Luca Toni of left backs.
Im pretty sure his performances in the prem more than back up a claim that he is a fantastic player.

Very harsh to judge hie entire ability, based on the World Cup, for England.

Many undr-performers at the world Cup, Diego Costa for one.

I know he is great for Everton in PL, but he's not the best performing left back in Europe. Never was, never will be.
By Europe, I didn't mean European competition.

No, we are saying, that there are better left backs, who play better in their league than Baines does in EPL. In leagues that are just as strong as EPL.
Opinions and all that, But I bet you can't find me some of these players names ?

There are dozen of players better than him that not necessarily play in CL. Here is one, Rodriguez from Wolfsburg...
Based on what ??? 3 games at a world cup ??

I don't want to repeat myself here, but he has to prove himself at a higher level. Playing for a relatively smaller team in the PL is not proving it, he has to go out of his comfort zone. With respect to Everton he is one step above what is a provincial star in Italy, simply because of Everton's peripheral level at the top end (5th-6th etc).

Everton are not a small team in the Prem.
Rodriguez has been quoted....they are no bigger than Everton, and finished 5th, like us.
You can not ignore his numbers & what he has delivered in the Prem.

Ricardo Rodriguez, David Alaba. And no, based on entire season. Once again, if EPL is the only thing that you watch, then it will be very difficult to discuss with you.
