Isnt he supposed to be some tricky dribbler down the wing? He looks really tiny/feeble, so yeah prolly better to go to the team that churns out gazilion wingers instead of a hoof and poof get stuck in type of small/midlevel EPL club. Sensible choice education wise.

No pressure with the 60m buyout clause too.

are there any clubs that are interested in Keita Balde, I mean, are there any rumors popping up? I think he will be a class player by the end of this season.

Did you see that Ryan Gauld went to Sporting for a couple of million the other day?

Interesting (and probably intelligent) move for a player like him to go to a club with some sort of record of developing pacey attackers, rather than him just going to England and struggling due to his slight physique.

Anyway, I still don't think he's shown anything to suggest he'll become anything out of the ordinary.
Welcome back

Played trequartista for Utd most of the time.

I do wonder if he would have got this move if there hadn't been so much hype around him. Attach a Messi-related nickname to a players and suddenly he's worthy of attention.

Doesn't matter than he couldn't get involved in games at all when playing against us.

Yeah the hype reached the shores of Sweden :D

But surely it cant all be based on nickname hehe, the Sporting organisation are very serious bunch who are very good at finding talents and developing them.

I've only really seen him against Aberdeen, since I don't watch any Scottish football we aren't involved in.

All I see is a player who can dribble and has a decent turn of pace.

He doesn't seem to have any idea of how to move off the ball to get himself involved in games.

He was playing against the wonderful Ryan Jack - undoubtedly the best defensive midfielder in the league - but Jack shouldn't have proved an insurmountable obstacle if Gauld is all he's cracked up to be.

Amazes me that no-one has shown an interest in Jack so far. You'll have to look long and hard to find such a well-rounded defensive midfielder at 22.

And I was golfing with a guy who used to do some scouting for an SPL club who sees more potential in Aberdeen's Cammy Smith than Ryan Gauld. He's six months older than Gauld and shows so much more of the intelligence I look for in a trequartista than Gauld has shown, though Gauld's dribbling ability is undoubtedly more obviously eye-catching.

Why is he grabbing the kid's forearm like that, looks like he was caught trying to force him into performing a hand-shandy

quite confused because i was under the impression that Chinese clubs could only have 4 foreign players in their roster, and only 3 starting. Gilardino would be their 6th foreigner in the roster
I didn't get that notification but I can ones where I quote people. :sigh:

I guess they're selling one or changing rules. :boh:

Signed for Wolves a few weeks ago. :p

Aberdeen's Scott Wright looked very good for Scotland u17s in the European Championships earlier in the summer.

Not yet 17 and made his debut in our 5-0 EL win the other night.
