Considering that Malaga snapped up experienced players early on in Al-Thani's reign, I wonder if there is a chance we could sell the likes of Vucinic, Quagliarella etc to Cagliari for top end fees.

Malaga's transfers are misleading. They didn't really spend what I would call "top end fees" for the the guys they picked up. Aside from Santi for 20 million or so and Toulalan for 10 million, the rest of their players were veterans purchased for moderate fees or free transfers. Mostly 5 million and under.

Yeah I looked through their buys. I think they had the means to but to start off with went for established names who were willing to join a new project for good wages. What I mean is that they might be willing to put €10m for Vucinic down or €8m for Quag, instant prestige signings for a club of their size, but also very useful on the pitch. I mean, Malaga bought Julio Baptista, so anything is possible.

I am told there are many Al-Thani's and all of them ,billionaires. So it could very well be some other Al-Thani for all we know.
True. Al-Thani is one of the most wealthy royal families in the Gulf and one reason for that is their continuous investment abroad. So yeah, there's no way of telling who exactly of that family is behind the Cagliari deal.
