Everyone praises Tottenham for using the money for Bale for getting that depth, but they didn't get one star player despite spending an upwards of near 100mil. IMO, that is simply not going to push them in the top4. I like Eriksen and Lamela, but they are not stars as of yet. it reminds me of Liverpool when the sold Torres and made filler, good, but not great signings.

I don't know about that... Liverpool and Tottenham have strengthened a lot, and the MU, City, Chelsea trio is almost a guarantee.
True that, it's gonna be tough.

Liverpool always had shit signings (bar this season).

Tottenham had very good signing considering they were never top 4 team. Lamela, Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue and Chadli are all very good players and I believe they're stronger than Arsenal at this point easily. Once they settle in it will be very hard to beat them.

All good players, but none of them elite. If you do spend 100mil, you should get an elite player IMO. Eriksen and Lamela will probably be stars down the line. I think Arsenal does get kicked down a lot (not only here, but in football world), but they've made it for 15 straight years in CL. As usual, I'm going to have to give them the benefit of the doubt. Their roster still looks fundamentally flawed, but I think they'll still finish top 4.

Spurs don't pay big enough wages to sign established 'stars', so they have to go for younger players with potential that they can develop into top players.

Filler like Suarez?

Spurs had 100mil to spend and surrounded their team with good, potentially great talent. I don't think it gets them over the hump just yet.

Not Suarez, but the British players they signed before this season.

I really like the Sakho move for Liveprool. PSG fans were pretty vocally upset and were chanting his name during their last match. They didn't want him to go, but he needs playing time to prep. if he wants to make the WC squad. He has huge upside.

And I'm not the only one who wants Bale to fail miserably, right? :p Nothing against the player, but I don't like Madrid.

I've always thought he is a bit overhyped, but he's very experienced for his age and has lots of room to develop.
