After one fucking game? Seriously, Basanta was pretty good, we all can tell. But he's 30 yo! If he was mexican no one would give 3M for him, but since he's argentine Fiorentina is willing to sign him. The whole Mexican defense was magnificent, Hector Moreno is much more of a defender than Basanta.

Seriously, it looks like every average argentine/brazilian has a chance on Europe, look at the amount of bad/average south Americans that are playing for european sides.

Anyway, my opinion about him hasn't changed. The guy has shitload of potential and he's one of those players who can imo easily fit into any league. He has all the right characteristics for a great winger (fast, good dribbler, good technique). He also likes to cut inside and his finishing is quite good. What I also like about him is that he's not a lazy type of a player, you can see him everywhere on the pitch. He had great games against big clubs (he destroyed Inter and was very good against Juve) so I think he can handle pressure well.

Tadić and Pelle are already at the club. Plus Ward-Prowse and Chambers are very tallented and they will replace respectively Lallana and Shaw.
