Well, to be honest, defensive minded midfielders aren't all that hard to find anyway. I am adequately satisfied with Song too, i think he's developed into a decent defensive midfielder, and above all of that Melo's ability to adapt has to be seriously put under question. I think that on form he can be a very solid defensive midfielder, but his temperament is questionable, so he'd be a big risk for that sum of money.

Yes i suppose that's why you rate, but from what i've seen from him, he's neither superb technically nor great at finishing,he's just at the right place at the right time, same thing could be said about Hadji two years ago when he started the league on fire if i remember correctly,
it's remain to be seen how he'll do with Genoa, wish him all the luck tough, our players seem to be doin fine recently ( Chamakh, Kharja, Boussoufa, Taarabt, Essaidi....)

no, I don't hold anything vs Gouch ... he wasn't Milan material but also never created problems for playing so little and even gave his salary back for the time he spent out due to injury.
