Kjaer had potential and I always liked him. But his performances dropped a lot and he just looked rather average later on.

If they manage to fix some of his flaws it's gonna be a good purchase I'd say. I don't think Burdisso is more useful than him, while Juan is miles ahead of him IMO.

Burdisso still suffers from his reputation for being a stupid red card magnet.

He's become a pretty good Serie A CB over the last couple of years (even if that is partially down to the decline in the standard of Serie A).

Nah, I think he's a decent player now, he did improve. However, I see him doing stupid things ala Barzagli quite often. I'd probably keep him on the bench and use him as a 3rd option. But I don't think he had a worse season than Bonucci.

Didn't they bring Heinze to play as CB? With him, Juan and Burdisso do they really need Kjaer?
Juan and Kjaer would start probably while Henize would get his chance from the bench where he'd also cover LB spot as well.

Kjaer is also much better with his feet compared to Burdisso, so I think Luis Enrique would give him an advantage to start over the Argie (Burdisso).
