I wonder why people, at least some, are racist. Is it instictual? Fear based? Power games?

I read a suggestion once that it's the hangover from an old instinct - don't let the new guys take our territory/food/women. Evolution at its most irritating. It seems to make some sense. More, at least, than mere stupidity!

Does make sense. useless now that we live in a non threatening society in that respect.

Perhaps its a tribal instict? I mean, to help natrually form packs of people among humans back when it was still nessercary?

That's the idea, yes. How to beat it out of people wasn't mentioned though!

Alot of our natrual instincts have become recessive in todays society. We usually find outlets for them, such as boxing to let out agression, etc

If this is infact instictual, alot of people have sadly found their outlet in going to your local stadium and taunting the black player on the ball.

He doesn't even have to be black. Shamrock Rovers got fined for one of their fans calling Ireland U21 international Gary Dicker a "paki" during a League of Ireland game a couple of weeks ago.
Here's the player in question:

Not very Pakistanian-looking, is he? Some people are jsut stupid.

Oh dear. That makes me laugh at how pathetic that is to be honest.

IMO as long as there are differences between people, (and sadly there will always be differences), there will always be superiority complex, and racism is just a form of superiority complex.

I'll give an example: among my own people (Nigerians are almost all black), you hear things like: o madu ato nori ebo, madu nabu na onye Hausa! That is an Igbo man speaking, telling of an incident involving 3 people, but in most cases, he'll describe it as 2 people, and a Hausa person. You'd think the Hausa person is not a human being.

Same kind of coverage you get in the West: 2 people and a black man...

So, where do we start?
