But do you remember he also makes several mistakes against Brondby
One cost the Brondby penalty, one needs the bar to saves his mistakes, and one need Buffon saves
those are just friendly games. dont forget that legro is 32. he is old and it is more difficult to get in shape again. it is easier for younger players(chiellini, giovinco). legro's first preseason games were horrible. but in the last games he has improved a lot(he is starting to play like he did last season). he had a great game against artmedia petralska, and also had a nice game wearing the azzuri shirt(almost scored a goal )

Just Too Many Friendly's - Legrottaglie
Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie has revealed his dislike of pre-season friendly’s as he looks ahead to the new campaign.

The Bianconeri have been busy this summer taking part in a number of friendly tournaments and matches, and they face another one on Saturday afternoon against Villar Perosa.

Legro admits he is sick of these games even though it was his coach Claudio Ranieri who organised them.

“I might as well organise a match in my own back garden,” said the stopper.

“I can’t stand these games, I can’t take it anymore. No more friendly’s.”

Ranieri is unlikely to be pleased with his defender’s latest comments.

However, the stopper cannot be blamed as he played on Wednesday night for Italy, Thursday evening in the Birra Moretti and now he is likely to feature in today’s game.

Legrottaglie will be happy knowing that the Serie A season kicks off next Sunday. The Italian needs to be on top form when he clashes against Fiorentina in seven days.

Legro is losing it. Playing consecutive friendly's is not something to moan about, it will only help your fitness. Although legro had a great season, i don't rate him. We should have signed a quality centre back that is great on the ball i.e. Santacroce.

The point of Pre-season is to bring players back into form, players will have been eating a lot more , spending time with families and such so it's normal if they gained a pound. I think we may have had to many friendlies, I don't think this last one is vital, I think the players need some time to rest at training. Even some players who performed in the Euro's have had a lot to do this summer so I do understand their frustration.

But we can still appreciate the effort by Ranieri, he is testing things, and trying to get Juve into shape which is only a good thing. He has overdone it but the man is trying at least.

Buffon has been spared the most (and as a keeper, doesnt work as much).

But yeah, its unwise for Legro to say that. Friendlies are VERY vital, to get into the proper routine and condition for as many players as possible to match fitness. Not to mention vital for youth players to get well needed experience in this level.
