I already know we disagree on Savona, but I hardly see him behind this absolute nobody in the pecking order. If anything, Costa has to show that he isn't just another Alcaraz.

yes he was pretty good, looked to me like the best piece of that 3 man defence. This should be his future imo, especially if we play in trio.

I think he can be a rotational CB in the future or a tactical FB in a four man defense. As a FB he would allow Cambiaso to roam while he would slot in more or less as a CB to balance. His consistency is impressive for his age. Doesn't excel in anything but I would value having such a cheap and HG option on the bench.
