Bendtner sucks and if we cant afford a top player now, I doubt we can sign one in the winter mercato.

We should go for Borrigol, atleast he scored goals in the CL for Roma
Of course Marotta has his share of fault for not bringing a top CF. But look, it was pretty difficult.
Suarez - main player in Liverpool, would have to change to an inferior league, they wouldn't let him go for nothing. Pretty difficult, not Marotta's fault.
Higuain, the same.
Van Persie - huge wages, stronger league, 29 yrs, injury prone, United payed like 30M for him. Not easy and I don't really know if it would be worthy.
Cavani - impossible.
Llorente - very very hard - Athletic is tough, they are selling Martinez... Llorente is not worthy 36M in his last year of contract at all.
Jovetic - the most doable one - even though very difficult. Here I think Marotta made a mistake, he should've been more aggressive. Anyway it was pretty difficult.
Dzeko - City didn't sign anyone so far, would've been a realistic option but without a substitute he's not in the market.

So it was a tough job. In January, Dzeko/Suarez/Jovetic can be fed up with their situations and the signing will be more realistic. I think it didn't happen so far not because of lack of money, but because Marotta didn't want to overpay. These great players have to push for transfers nowadays, that's our chance of landing them. So january is still an option, if any of them is unsatisfied

Thats the market today, either you overpay for top players or you're stuck with average ones

We may take him on loan, since he's unneeded in Arsenal and Milan dropped their interest after signing Bojan. Also, Raiola is his agent..

Exactly. We don't even know if he really had the money to do it - apparently he did, as some reports say he offered 30M for Jovetic in the past days. But can't be sure.

And if he did have the money, it's a choice. I mean, if you can get the guy without overpaying and you don't, that would be awful. But when you choose not to overpay, it's a choice. Gotta know if it's going to pay off. I really think Marotta probably decided that it's not worthy to overpay since what we've got now should be enough for the first part of the season - Serie A and CL group stages. I guess it's more a postponing thing, waiting for a better opportunity in the market.

Let's just pray we get a decently doable CL group. With the current team we can do well in all 3 competitions. Then in january someone to give us extra quality could come.

I'd rather keep Boayke, recall Immobile, give more chances to Bonatini, enlarge my penis to be 6"3 and give it a Juventus jersey, or see one of the Tuz members as our stiker, than see fucking Bendtner in a Juventus shirt.

Pedulla:Following this survey for Floccari, for now the most viable is the track that leads to Bendtner: contacts, even in the late morning between Marotta and Arsenal, you can close in loan sale with right of redemption , overall operation of about six million.

:howler:
