I never had a problem at all with Europe and her capital cities, however Africa was major struggle for me in terms of capitals. However, naming the countries was obviously not as terrible and I think any decent human being should be able to name and label about 75% of the countries of this world.

On our defence though; they don't teach you those at primary school. They only nazi-drill you with the capital cities of actual nations.
Capital city of South Carolina? I have absotely no idea whatsoever. But I also have no idea what the capital city of Chuvash (a Russian state) is... Do you? I mean...
I understand the very basics, but it's all passive knowledge. I couldn't even order a loaf of bread which is basically lesson one in every language isn't it? Remember those lame dialogues "Bonjour Madame, je veux..."?
Well at least your primary school made you learn such capital cities. Unfortunately, I had to learn the geography and capitals of Europe on my own free time. This is just one of the many things I would change about America if I ever become President.
