Not knowing the story, my guess is Vinman got time in the penalty box for the unsportsmanlike conduct of using Capello's name in vain. Not that Cap doesn't deserve it at times, but Vinni is always a bit fast and loose with dishing that out.

I don't care if you're on a Juve or Milan or Roma site. It does get to be objectionable if fans of the club have only to hear player or staff insults all the time from the same person. We love Vinni and all, but that doesn't mean he's in line for canonization on this one.
I know you don't create the 'rules of conduct' but merely enforce them and I don't think you were involved however, this is pure horsesh*t.
Essentially, Vinman was banned for criticizing the decisions of a coach. Is it really so pro-Team in this forum to the point that speaking one's mind on the abilities of a Juve player/coach merits a ban or temporary ban?
    I can't believe it....

One of the reasons I hate Milan forums or those of my team is for this very reason...the 'pigeon' mentality as I like to call it is just so anti-discussion and debate that makes everything superficial. This 'world is rosy' and we are the best state of mind creates a pathetic forum where there is no real creativity/discussion or debate on the team.

At the end of the day Vinman was banned for giving his opinion on Capello...no matter how much some of you may hate it this is a quintessential example of taking away one's freedom of speech...

    very sad.

    No, not word.

Calling the manager "crapello" crosses the line between criticism and insult, there is a clear and obvious difference

Oh Please. Since when do members over here follow the rules 100%??

You even yourself remmber when you were a moderator how many times Del Piero and Legro were Insulted around here before Capello took charge. We both remmber exactly How many threads were opened calling Del Piero "Headless Chicken" or "Remove the captain armband from that fag" yet nothing was happening...Lot of our players were bashed in a bad way and Insuled in many occasions. Yet the Dp and the True Juve fans had to support their Idiotic way waiting and praying for some moderator to ban them.

Now because It's Vinman who's calling Capello Crapello which I don't see anything wrong in this, is banned. Which is unfair to me.

You either hold your stick towards everybody or not.....

Why should someone be banned for criticizing a coach?

This is not the Soviet Union under Joey the Stal in 48, and I also think that Capello needs to stop being such a wee wee head and play the game to win, not play the game because he likes the ball bouncing off "Control ya arms'" feet.

Not saying members follow rules 100% but if, as has been said, repeated warnings have been given then a ban is the next course, and is only 3 days anyway, don't get your knickers in a twist.

When I was a mod I took such things very seriously and gave out warnings in the match threads where it was happening, however you can't expect a mod to see every bit f player bashing that goes on, its up to you guys to report posts etc if its offending you.

As far as your "he's only been banned because its vinman" idea, sounds to me like your just trying to ingratiate yourself even further with the nick against the world posse, which is quite lame in my opinion. For once you should look at things objectively instead of believing the sun shines out of certain members' rear ends and taking their side regardless.

Now I like Vinman as a poster and a person but the ban is still appropriate in my view as it contravenes forum rules. If you wanna change the rules then go ahead but until that happens this one is clear cut

If I was going to "criticize" someone, I would not call them names, I would talk about their mother and how they like to sodomize their close friends.
Where I come from thats known as being immature, certainly isn't criticism

Are you really saying he got banned for calling Capello..Crapello?? A word that is not even censored in movies rated "G" FFS.

Is this the reason? A simple play of words in which he went on for paragraphs and paragraphs...post after post on how and why he thinks he is over-rated, etc. Then followed by referring to him as Crapello.
Given the fact that he went on at length as to why he is not suitable, etc. I think its fair to say that he CRICIZED Capello more than insulted him.
Regardless, what about posters labelling Davids a thug...Del Piero over-rated and Zebina a hack...is that criticism or insult....

Make no mistake about it...it IS because Vinman was the individual making the comments....
I have made FAR worse comments about Juve players and never gotten so much as a private message..
Burke has made remarks that would make Martin Lawrence blush about Juve players and never even got a glance..
Vinman who goes against the 'tide of pigeons' in the games thread constantly criticizes the team despite their success and is hammered for it gets banned for using the term 'Crapello'.

    Beyond laughable.

It's not about 3days or 8min...It's about being Unfair to other members. I was banned for 3days and I wasn't given any warning. I still doubt Vinman recieving any warning.

Ofcoarse you can't see or expect a mod to do everything. But you surely can notice threads right? TBH, If I had some time, I wouldn't mind now finding the threads that were insulting out players when action wasn't taking.....That said that I'm not saying you, Graham,Torkel,Kurv, were doing a bad job, not at all. My point is still clear, nobody can follow the rules 100% and still banning a poster by calling Capello Crapello is pathetic.

What about these who were calling Chimenti(Monkey and Insulting him after the Milan game???) What about Manuel Blasi, how many times did posters Insulted him???

And about ingratiating myself to the Nick against the World has nothing to do with what I'm saying. As I know Vinman since I joined this forum. So I still don't know what connections you're trying to connect over here.

I'm not asking to change the rules as I actually don't care about them. I respect myself as a poster and respect people's opinion and I have the right to criticize any player or coach I want just like others do.

I see your point and I agree with what youre trying to say. Its cool to criticise and say whatever you wanna say but its a bit immature to start calling the players names like Ibrahimoshit, Crapello, etc.
