I translated a word Jeeks posted in the DP thread. He wrote "bajs" witch is "poop" in english. Got neg rep 3 times for a translation... People are plain stupid...
We finished winter champs in Serie A that season and began to fizzle for a few games in mid Feb/March. We faced an Inter who wanted us DEAD let alone beat...more over,
we had beaten Real Madrid back in the 'group of death' earlier in the CL round with Costacurta starting over Nesta. Juve also was inches from getting eliminated until Figo missed a penalty shot in the first game which would have sealed their fate. Know your history....
Considering the fact that in the final Del Piero was NOWHERE to be seen and MIlan dominated hte match a to z ... disallowed goal and two flying saves by Buffon on Inzaghi... plus we were one man short (Roque Junior hobbled on the field for the last 15 mintues) in which Juve did not even get a shot on net...
You obviously didn't watch the game or remember that season otherwise you would know NOT to make statements like these which just BURN (ouch) you
Nick, you might very well be a Milan fan, but Juventus-Real Madrid in 2003 was the best performance of an Italian team in years. They blew Real away and it was one of the most beautiful games I ever watched, not only as a supporter but also as football player.

have to agree with the Don man here..Lippi is notorious for skipping town when things get ugly. When the team wins he is the first one at a press conference and when things go bad he doesn't answer any questions...
He pulled his disappearing acts with Juve and Inter and then again with Juve...a coach like a player sticks with his players through thick and thin otherwise he is just an ignorant self centered opportunist...part of the job is motivation.
Believe it or not, but I got yellow carded this weekend because I apologised to the ref and told him he was right. I had kicked the ball away in frustration before and got off with a warning, but when I said he was right and that I shouldn't have done that he went berserk. It's me, I guess.

Yeah, but the thing is for once I wasn't being sarcastic. I never ever get a card when I'm sarcastic, because they always doubt how they should interpret my comments, but this ref was obviously coming after me.
Anyway, the guy is a ref. You can say whatever you want, but anyone who's a ref wanted to be a football player but wasn't good enough. Even Collina says so.
