Come on, he insulted members and got banned, but permenant? Why? Just because he broke the rules of banning?

TBH when I banned him I didnt specify what kind of ban it was, but I was going to make it a permanent ban.

I specifically made an example out of Burke a month or two before publicly saying that re registering would earn him a permanent ban.

Had Seven not been so rash he could have been normaly posting by now.

Same like in England concerning doping: missing a test will earn you a longer ban than actually being found positive on a doping test.

Why? Because everyone would miss them on purpose to get a smaller penalty. Same here. To make people actually respect their bans we cant allow them to reregister and continue postin like nothing happened.

The moderation on this forum has indeed been a little too harsh in recent months, and perhaps you can even go as far to say a bit selective in some cases. When Seven was making insulting posts towards me weeks ago, nobody really did anything about it and just let it slide. However, when Seven finally resorted to insulting Zlatan Balta, the mods started to take exception and that is when action was taken against him. It is very similar to Claire's case with Mikhail...as soon as she insulted a mod that is when she was essentially gone. Therefore, it is hard to take some of these decisions seriously.

That said, if Seven behaves himself and does not resort to insulting other posters, I think he should have another chance. I would be a hypocrit to say otherwise, so give him another chance.

And wow, this is coming from Andy, by the way.

Not really. TBH I cant even remember the insult he said he made towards me. Fact is, most of the insults towards you were probably in this thread. If there are a lot of unread posts in it when I log on, which there can be, 10 or 15 pages, I rarely read all of it. We cant see everything. if you want us to see it, report it.

I did report some posts, multiple times, yet nothing was done.

I think there are bigger problems on here than seven re-registering. If people let him get on and post there would be no problems. Many people have posted stuff along the same lines if not worse than what he was banned for.

I'm wondering now if the posts I reported yesterday and today have been acted upon, they were more offensive as a juve fan

UNFAIR ARGUMENT. You never said my ban would have been temporarily. I only re-registered to say I didn't agree with the ban, therefore my re-registering can't be a reason for my permanent ban.

Oh, and it's a false analogy as well btw.

Only when they really piss me off but any post containing constant references to things like "crapello" is so blatantly against he forum rules its untrue.. and nothing appears to have been done about it

No, you didnt re register to say you were unfairly banned, you re registered to call me a cock, an idiot, etc, etc.

False analogy? Well, you would know, wouldnt you.

If THIS isn't an argument, I don't know what is.

Then you dont know what is. Fine. I'll publish a list of ALL users banned since Marty took over and you tell me which of the bans was unfair.

Anyways, take it up with the Man Seven, but I doubt he'll have much sympathy, considering that he said that he wanted to ban you a few times himself.

So it's not just me.

My car analogy was right and TBH I never saw you prove it wrong. And yes, eventually I did call you an idiot. However I would have never called you a cock, because I'm not very fond of the word. But these things can't count as arguments since they happened AFTER the PERMANENT ban you already gave me.

Willing to ban someone and banning someone because he deserves so are completely different matters. I can't stand Andy and I would love to see him banned, yet I don't see any reason why he should be.

Also: I don't think I would make a very good moderator, but that's not the question here since I'm not a moderator now anyway. Stick to the topic please.

In the heat of the moment, no, and I admit that. However, that still doesnt mean you were right to re register.

Look Seven, arguing with me wont get you anywhere, I cant unban you even if I wanted to. Only Marty can unban members, so present your case to him, I'll present mine if necessary, and thats that.

You can't say I'm permanently banned because I re-registered though, that's a completely unfair argument.

TBH Marty doesn't really seem to care about this site, so I guess my Seven account is gone.
