Rab how did you feel when DP scored the second goal (freekick) ?

TBH...Before he took that Freekick I felt he was gonna bang it inside the net....I was hugin my friend and as soon as he took it and scored that awesome Freekick, I was shouting and had tears. Specially after this difficult period he's passing through..

And not to forget he's getting close to be Juve's top scorer of all time.....

My only thought watching that game was all about goalies: Antonioli versus Abbiati. I don't see Abbiati ever "winning" a game for us. His instincts of position and timing are just not there.

Meanwhile, contrast with Antonioli -- who played a stupendous game today. Milan put on the press from about the 53rd minute on. And although he let a point-blank Gila shot through at top speed (a tough one to stop no matter who the goalie), he was always in the right place at the right time to make brilliant saves on Sheva and Gila and crew whenever the double and triple teaming of the Samp defensive line broke down.

While Samp made some excellent build-ups that wreaked havoc in front of the Milan goal and lead to two quality scores, Antonioli got at least 2 points of that win for them.

Still, it was nice to see Gila break his new duck in Milan. Class act, and as he settles in I am sure we'll see great things from him to come.

A fantastic game to watch -- worthy of Novellino spitting out his chewing gum at the touch line from all the excitement.

Good post. Abbiati will not win you games which is why Galliani gave the green light to Berlusconi's political move...free loan. That said, he was better than most alternatives such as Chimenti or a Marchegiani. Abbiati once was a big part of Milan winning the scudetto..I don't think he could ever live up to that or top it but will do.
About Milan...I have not been confident about this squad since the start of the season: the rainy day in Ascoli was an excuse...the Siena win was a 'bounce back' (I never bought it) and the Fenerbache win was won in the final minutes...another Siena win. Unlike last season they failed to take a lead and dominate the entire game... Kaladze was a huge part of today's loss ... he couldn't hack it with Terim who insisted on playing him game after game and he is making us ache for Jankulovski.
Juve does not surprise me because they completed their team over the summer though I foresee problems down the road (middle season) anyhow the next 3 games (Udinese, Parma and Inter) will be a good test for that team.
