    Nick,

    you were right...

TLN's coverage of Serie A is going to hell.....

Their not even showing the Juve game today...

I bet its because RAI International is available in Canada now...probably a rights issue, or something
Anyone notice TLN's coverage today....they broadcast the game live but the image was horrible...RAI began on tape delay (5 minutes) and then broadcast live by cutting the half time and the image was much better.

Vin, I spoke to a friend in Canada who said that since RAI International arrived in Canada, TLN lost most of the rights to broadcast games...basically they no longer get 'first pick'. As he said, its no wonder TLN spent a lot of money to stop RAI International from arriving.

The good news is, if you want to subscribe to RAI International in Canada, its only $2.50 per month canadian

I'm paying $12.50 per month USD :fero:

It's sounding like TLN and RAI Int'l traded places in Canada. Here in the States, without TLN available, things have been better than ever.

TLN is available in the U.S. with a dish..correction: I assume only the North East..I don't know the details..my Brother took care of it while I was in Italy. Basically, what TLN doesn't show RAI does and now with Fox Sports the choice triples...almost assured of catching a game somewhere.

Vin, do you catch the Canada's version of ESPN..TSN?? I heard they always broadcast a CL match.

Paul, living in Italy I can't believe you don't GET the concept of over-protective parents...FFS I know 35 year olds who have to RUSH HOME after a game because his parents will scold them if they are not home for dinner. I can understand Andy's situation...my parents had a rule that was basic "our roof..our rules." Sounded fair to me ... I wasn't ready to live with the bums at the bus station just to prove a point just yet and NYC is not the a place one can get a place on a student's budget.
College is the best way to stretch the rule...even though I did my undergrad and second degree in NYC I lived in a dorm room....
That's right Nick, you and I both know what this crap was like. Thank God for college.

ANDY: You probably won't find Football Factory at Blockbuster...I couldn't find it in Rome and they usually carry British films...I purchased a copy in London. Only place that may have it is some Video stores I know of in Manhattan that carry films other than the run of the mill blockbusters.
Paul was right...Football Factory was very good ...
but Bruce Campbell is still not at the Nic Cage level :cheesy:
Yeah, I doubted the prospects of finding such an outlandiah movie at Blockbuster, but I'll try anyway. And if all else fails I could always order the movie online and just buy it outright...that is, if you guys believe it's worth the price.

Unfortunately I'm far behind in seeing the various calcio movies available to us, and the last piece I saw was the old movie "Victory" with you know who in it. I was not entirely impressed, and that's not just because my high school coach made us do some of the same damn conditioning exercises shown in the movie..

Fox only shows Cagliari, Lazio, and Treviso home matches, and I'm skepticle over whether they will have the rights to show any of the matches involving the bigger sides of Serie A. Thus far Rai International has been the best provider of coverage...for some reason GOL TV did not show the Inter match today while RAI did.

Fascinating. I had no idea that they'd allow that kind of Canadian mind control across our borders!

Some of my best friends here are Canadians (again, "not that there's anything wrong with that" ;) ), and we've discovered that way out West the CBC is virtually contraband. You'd have an easier time smuggling in an atomic bomb than catching an episode of Mr. Dressup around here. (As if you'd really want to...)

Firstly, I wasnt in italy when i was 16... But you dont see it quite the same if you havent experienced it... you see others parents *****ing at their kids but not more...

My view on italian parents i know or see now... isnt one of not allowing kids todo things... Rather they fuss about eveything and are strict after the event...
Which isnt the same... Im talking about not letting you do things in the first place.. not the treatment afterwards or thr general.. mummies little boy thing that so many italian boys / men have going on...

Be careful when ordering dvds online from outside the US...
Unlike european equipment which is generally multi standard (eg. can handle pal & ntsc) most american tv's and dvd players cannot display pal pictures...

You also have the region issue... can your dvd player play region 2 discs ?

But if your tv and dvd player doesnt meet both requirements you can watch them on your computer... though not ideal

anyway... pm me i might be able to help you get I.D, football factory and the firm

i dont think i got a single joke in football factory. then again i dont think i understood a word after watching it for the first time..

And TBH you used as bad, if not worse, language as me and you started it, so I really dont see what you're getting at.
really now? i was just pissed off after the game. i may have called bosnians this and that (cheating ****s to be exact) and your first word in response was **** off. i may have talked shit about the bosnians, well **** me, you still didnt deserve it, but i never insulted you. you did that.
