Andy, I also am picking the Lions in the North. However, if SI picked the Lions then they are done - won't even make the playoffs. SI is the Kiss of Death. Last year they picked KC vs. Carolina for the Super Bowl and both missed the playoffs. As a second pick they had NE vs. Seattle. Well, a blind Siberian could have picked NE, and Seattle was pure shit.
Well, hope to hell that SI was not the organization that made those rankings. :fero:

I have already prepared myself for less than a 500 finish, just as last year, because there is no telling how we will play. This better be Harrington's last chance to prove himself because we have given him enough chances already. We have a young defense that should improve from last year, a great young RB in Jones that impressed me albeit as a Freshman, and perhaps the best young recieving core in the NFL. If this was any team but the Lions I would say Playoffs should be a certainty. :groan:

Andy, I'm going to make a small calculation for you so pay attention.

In Holland, at the moment, we pay €1.45 for one liter of petrol. Now, one gallon is 3.78 liters so we pay €5.48 for one gallon.

With today's exchange rate between the euro and the US dollar, that means we pay US$6.75 for one gallon of petrol.

Your turn, cheapskate :D

Dieselprice is 77% of the petrol price so that would amount to US$5.20 per gallon
LPG is 31% of the petrol price so that would amount to US$2.09 per gallon

But who the hell drives LPG anyway... It would be a struggle find a good second-hand LPG car for a nice price in this country. Having a petrol car changed would cost you a fortune.

Anybody want to take bets on top scorer for this stagione? I'm placing money on Adriano, lots of money. With all the weapons Inter have in attack, from all angles, the Brazilian could possibly net 30 goals this season. Of course the major factor in this quest for Adriano would be the risk of injruy, something that seems to get the better of him every season.

Inter completely thrashed Treviso, and the Nerazzurri should mount a better challenge for the Scudetto this time around. However, we have said that so many times in the past that I still have my doubts.

I placed money on Adriano three days ago  Also a bit on Vieri cause the odds were good - gotta be hopeful :D

I'm going to draw my conclusions on Inter in round 5 - see if they're still as good then as they were today. Consistency is usually the problem in the dark side of Milan.

the beauty and naiveness of it... :D
Yes, I absolutely know how expensive gas is in Europe; I'm no idiot.

However, Americans are not used to such high prices, so it comes as a bit of a shock that we have to pay $2.80 for a gallon of gas. We are simply not used to it.

I don't know what pisses me off more.....our directors not buying David Pizarro, or our directors not buying anybody to help solve our creativity problem in midfield.

Once Champions League Knockout rounds come up again and we cannot break through difficult defenses, I will say I told you so Moggi.

The encounters with Brugge should be interesting. It's only 1 season ago that they stopped Ajax's creativity and sent them out of the CL without so much as a UEFAcup berth.

And that's impressive... Van der Vaart, Sneijder, De Jong, Pienaar... they were all halted.
