Dont want to get into the much prolonged argument. But as a place to live/study/work, if given the choice between Europe and America I'd have to say Europe.
There's just a whole lot more culture around: be it in Italy, Scotland, Spain, England, Holland, Hungary, Sweden and maybe even Poland (just to make Martin happy)

if you dont bare in mind that i missed an exam because it was one day earlier than i thought and i'll have to retake in september instead of going to france as i originally planned.
