Of course I know that ediface! One summer while in college, I worked as a mail clerk at a company on the 48th & 49th floors. It was a pretty weird job.
I shared an office with a recovering crack junkie from the Brooklyn ganglands who told me all I needed to know about New York street smarts. I carried up birthday cakes for 60 through the revolving doors in front and tried to push the buttons on the express elevators. (The security guards were always too busy checking out the hot chicks in summer dresses to open the handicapped entry doors for me.)
I got a kick out of when the fog would roll in, and you'd look below and the entire city disappeared. Not to mention the wind that caused raindrops to literally drip vertically upwards. And when the winds were heavy, the building at the upper floors in the wind would rock and creak a little like an old ship.
Ahhh. Those were the days of my youth.
