We would all loose the interest in supporting Juve, as weouldn't have the same coverage. I don't think, that I could follow Serie B matches in Austria and I highly doubt that Channel 4 or any other English website would continue to write about Juve.

and bang, you saw them and became a hard core ultra... you started supporting them when you knew something about their history, their players, their victories...
you do have a point, me personally started following juve after i saw their jersey in a shop, i liked it and when i knew what team is it i started folowing it. once again, had it been a small team i wouldnt have started following them, just because of lack of info. same for you imo, you saw them because they were big, and you started following them because they were big. im not calling you a gloryhunter in a sense that if juve dont win anything for 5 years you'll turn to milan, no. but 95% of those who follow big teams are a bit of glory hunters.

again, thats napoli, 4th most followed team in italy. but if they stay in the 4th league for 10 years, you think their coverage will be just as big? i believe nottingham forest had plenty of fans back in their day, but how many of those are remaining? most of them i believe still have a spot for that team in their hearts, but they dont call themselves diehards anymore...
After I learned more about them of course I'm going to become more of fan. Almost every club is that way.

No, I didn't start following them because they were big, I started following Juve because they were the only team I knew along with Real Madrid at the time. The first ever European match I saw was Real-Juve in 98, and I personally liked Juve better because of the Italians I enjoyed back in the 94 WC here in the states. I liked the Italian NT back then as well.
But like I said Juventus at the time was the only European club I knew, and it's stuck with me ever since. I sort of liked Barca in 99 but not that much, except for Rivaldo.

The way you are trying to hard to put this off is a little silly. Fact is you choose to support a Champions League team that were perhaps the best in Europe at the time.

You've been a fan since 98. You don't even know anything other than glory except 1 season where Juve finished 7th? Coming second in a league is glory. Knowing your team are going to be there at the end fighting for it every season is glory.
