I would hardly call arguably the best team in Italy beating Englands 5th place team a reflection on the leagues quality. I think Liverpool doing that to Juventus, even if it was only brief is in itself a reflection of the strength of English football.
I would hardly call Juventus the best team in Italy. Lets see Liverpool score even one goal against Milan. Manchester United on their supposed HOT STREAK could barely get a shot on net....could only imagine what Liverpool would do...
oh yeah...minus Shevchenko.

Id like to see Sampdoria beat Chelsea 2-1. We all know that would simply never happen in a European game..
I could very well see Udinese giving Chelsea a good run ...oh yeah but then Mourinho would say that Udine bribed the ref at halftime with some pasta and a bottle of wine.

Besides save it, ive never said the english league could match the italian. Frankly I dont care in the slightest. Its not that important. Who really cares? And yes Ive read the honours list aswell, no need to quote it. .
We keep hearing it OVER and OVER again...in the end of the day Chelsea and Man U are the only English teams that make some sort of European impact...and in Chelsea's case its a Johnny-come-lately thing...
Juve and Milan and even Inter have been in the European 'scenery' for a long time

For such a superior league though its interesting that the past results between teams of each nation are pretty much equal. And yes to save you the hassle, tournaments arent won over one game..
Case in point: Ravanelli, Vialli, Zola, Decanio...labelled BURNT out in Italy: move to England and they shine.
WHen was the last time an English player dared try Serie A?

But English football 'cannot' match Italian football? I think you'll find it can and is increasingly doing so. Dont let a lacklustre win over a down and out MU squad get your hopes spinning. You (IncuboRossonero) are on the same side of the draw as Chelsea. So you might want to keep your voice down until you beat them...
ahaahahah down and out? All we kept hearing was how Man U was ON FIRE....
Oh yeah...we had the likes of Costacurta marking Cristian Ronaldo...
and we were minus our best player for BOTH GAMES who also happens to be the Golden Ball recipient.
MAN U was just lucky it did not get ugly...then again looking at the way Wayne Rooney played it was pretty ugly.
