Of course I'm not going to hit a Pedro fastball now or when I was in 8th grade. If I could make my county All-Star team with baseball being my third sport, it's not that difficult. It's extremely overated and you know it Burke.
I didn't say that is wasn't, all I am saying is that it is a ****ing hard sport to play IN THE PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE!!!

I doubt there was a kid pitching like Pedro Martinez when you played. I doubt its really that easy to play in the MLB, if not everyone would play it and teams wouldnt have to depend on dominicans and people from that region

Yea Andy, you used to play BBall when the fastest pitch was 55-65, try hitting 92-101.
Over years of playing a sport you become better, improving with every swing of the bat. No 8th grader is not going to hit a 100 mph fastball, while some can hit at 60. There's a thing called "skill building."

Of course it's not easy to play in a professional league. IMO baseball is just not one of the most demanding sports in the world.

Andrew. Players in the MLB cannot even hit a ball thrown by Pedro. I watched his game two days ago against the Reds, after a single pitch, he allowed a homer. He struck out the next 7 or 8 batters.

Good for him. I've already stated pitchers are the most skillful players in the game. They have my respect.

-EDIT: Some do.

Physically yes, I even said that, but it is difficult mentally. It is like Chess, you would not say that Chess is a bad sport because it is not physically demanding, you might say that it is boring, slow, and meticulous, but not bad because it is not demanding physically.

Baseball is difficult mentally? Sorry but that's a joke, the only players who use their brain in baseball are pitchers and catchers. It doesn't take much brain power to swing a friggin bat and or throw the ball to first base to get the opponent "out."

Fvck I'm starting to the hate sport more just by talking about it. Baseball doesn't even deserve to have people talking about it.

I met Derrick jeter one time in San Juan at the El San Juan Hotel & Casino, and if I had to pick a team it would be the Yanks for that reason.

I love the El San Juan Hotel! That place is fantastic. The lobby is a great place to smoke a cigar.

Pado, it was a couple of posts back, but thanks for saying that eventhough I am a stupid ****er, or SOB, I forget, but saying that you liked me. :touched:

Seriously, I was surprised.
Surprised? Don't be too shocked -

I do like you. Sure you take the piss out of me, a bit too often, but I like you and your hairy little monkey boy, too.
