yeah, i think so. their language is rather similar to finnish. on the other hand, latter is similar (for me at least) to swedish, norwegian and any other bar english/german/french (forgot how that group is called)

No Finno-ugric is a pretty weird family. Finnish and Hungarian belong to it despite being hundreds of miles apart and they form a separate category from Indo-European languages. So maybe it's the Estonians who fall into the same category.

i have been taught that finland has a category of its own

Finnish is not similar to Swedish/Norwegian/Danish/Icelandic

Im pretty sure Hungarian and Finnish belong to the same family btw.

I think the same goes for Hungarians and Finns, but the origin remains the same. Finnish apparently has 17 declensions.
