Yeah I know, that's a dangerous flaw. That's why the Dutch government decided to make that test at the end of primary school an advisory test only. In practice, the teachers of the primary school who know the student can add their advise to that and the pupils usually follow up on that.
You are free to choose whatever level of highschool you wish though. And if you choose one that turns out too high or too low, you can change after one year.

Thats correct, but for example I can graduate from the most expensive university in my country with just $10,000 but an undergraduate degree from an average american university like BU for example tops a degree from the best south american university
In another country (especially third world ones) a degree from an american university can get you an awesome job, and it doesnt even have to be a school like Harvard

its also the same in the U.S. HOWEVER, schools like Oxford, Harvard, Yale, etc. ARE picky as they should be BUT even a straight A student is not guaranteed admission as they look at MANY factors and eventually unfair factors come into play. Then again, if have a nice name you can get into OXFORD or Harvard. Bottom line.

Yeah I have to agree. The SAT's are not even a good indicator for future success in college, or what not. I know people that took hours of classes to prepare for the SAT and raised their scores by 250 points, and just learned how to take the test. Other kids who did not care about the test that much and only took it once (me), and relied on their good high school grades were sort of fvcked over in that respect. Some schools even give a class to teach the SAT to the students in the normal cirriculum, so not everybody has the same opportunity. Poor people that do not do well on the SAT's are pretty much fvcked, because thats mostly how the scholarships are distributed and given out, to the students who have the highest SAT's. You must have sufficient monetary backing to attend the top universities.
Hey, you have to get by somehow. Penn State's tuition is not that expensive, however its not cheap either, being about $12,000 a year. Luckily I have a father who works for both the goverment and individual research firms, because I would have had to take all those damn SAT courses so I could have got a larger scholarship.
