The debate was good. Neither one of them is a master speaker, a great motivator in other words, like a President Reagan. I honestly don't know why I watched it either, since my decision was made almost a year ago, but I figured it was good television.

Well my mind wasn't exactly made up before last night. This being my first voting experiance, I wanna get this right.

Andy, Political affiliations aside, Kerry came across better than Bush last night. These debates are tailored made for the people who, 6 weeks prior to the election, still haven't made a decision on which way to go. How you say it, is quite honestly, more important than what you have to say when its this close to the election.

I'm not denying Kerry sounded better than Bush last night. But what gets me is that Kerry seems to switch his stories around a bit too much.

I thought he discussed that very well yesterday. I think this flip-flop thing is quite silly, and to me it´s just stupid how Bush keeps saying that Kerry is flip-floppy instead of coming up with an answer to Kerry´s answers to the flip-flop allegations.

It was a pretty good debate, not a great time though... :sleepy: It was very different from political debates in Norway.

But Bush does have a point there. Even though Kerry did sound better last night, at least Bush did not have a tendancy to switch opinions at the wisk of a moment.

But to, Kerry explained him switching sides at least on the Iraq issue, on what other issues has he switched?

And as Kerry said yesterday, there´s a thin line between standing by you choices and not admitting when you´re wrong. IMO Bush should have fessed up to the Iraq war being started on false premises, even Tony Blair has done that...

We've been over this several times, and even Kerry himself said he would have went to war in Iraq with the information Bush had. Maybe Bush should have been a bit more apologetic, but its easy to say as an onlooker he should do this, shouldn't have done that after its already down in the history books.

If Kerry wins is because of people voting anti Bush, not because he;s a great leader, motivator, or whatever. He did destroy Bush in some things, but Bush got back at him some times as well. And Kerry;s closing speech sounded like something a Miss Universe would say

I think Fabi is correct. It's not about Kerry, it's anti-Bush. A very large segment of the USA hates this President so much that they would vote against him no matter who the opponent. I think it's a real shame that a country as great as the USA, with all of its vast resources, cannot produce better leadership at the top level. Little Cuba has a president more worthy of leadership than the last 10 US Presidents combined.

That is true, except for the Fidel part. For me it is a touchy subject because I never thought my country could convert in something like Cuba, and thats what is happening right now.

Between Bush and Kerry, Id go for Bush mostly because Kerry isnt enough to replace him and I think he has done a good job against terrorism so far

There is such an Anti-Bush sediment going on now, especially in Hollywood. A lot of people think its "cool" or "trendy" to be anti-Bush, while a lot of these same people know nothing about political issues. Its rather unfortunate.
