Thank you to all for your congratulations, etc.

The trip was incredible and the party lasted into the wee hours of the evening.. at the moment I'm still kind of recovering. (got back this afternoon)
The Curva was a mad house..after the first goal I found myself 5 rows below where I was seated...picutre bodysurfing meets stage diving..everyone just leans forward and you find yourself in a swarm. The Roma fans did not really dampen our spirits although we feared they would pull a similiar riot as in the Lazio-Roma match BUT given their signifincantly less numbers we knew they would not run wild because they would be easier to contain outside. The Curva responded to them by clapping in sarcasm when they would throw flares.

About the game: The infamous "hand ball"...its too bad and everyone at the stadium wished they ref had just called that damn hand ball because:
    a) Milan dominated the game from the 1st minute to the last: no doubt in my mind it would have ended in a tie or Milan would bounce back.
    b) Milan had at least 4 opportunities to score and Roma did absolutely nothing in terms of scoring..first shot on net at the end of the first half...at one point we didn't even know if Cassano was playing. They were shut down in mid field. Its a shame that error puts a question on Milan's great match.
    c) What we saw afterwords was how the apparent foul on Totti was a crock of shit in itself. I speak of the one in which he was awarded the free kick. He slipped on the ball and Gattuso did not lay a finger on him. Whatever...what can you do.

Nevertheless it was an amazing experience nonetheless. I need sleep..........

Well, at least the "hand ball" incident isn't something that revisionist historians can point back on and say "Well, if it wasn't for that hand ball, Milan may have lost the Scudetto". If this was the last match of the season, then sure, but Milan would have most likely clinched in the next week or two anyway.

Its a good thing Juve basically has a lock on the 3rd spot, because to me, it looks like they've up and quit for the year.

    Youth movement, here we come.

    Cesare for Coach.

    I guess but the usual
Moggi-Galliani cries were heard from Roma fans yesterday...
the predictable "let me guess next year Juve wins..then Milan wins...they Juve wins..etc"

Anyhow, another incident I thought was not very classy was Totti's reaction after the officials decision. I know he must have been boiled over but being on the visitors section (where the Roma fans where) it sparked them more and more to go apeshit as they did.

You would not believe what someone in the Curva yelled:
"What kind of a Champion are you? Take some lessons from Maldini and DP you 'burino'.
I guess once Juve is not a threat they are not so bad to us anymore ;) Anyways someone yelled from the back "nah DP still sucks" ;)

I think a lot of his attitude problems stem from the enviroment that he plays in. Sensi the Hut as your president/overseer can do that to you. That being said, I didn't appreciate his temper tantrum, either, and I've been one of his biggest supporters.

Congrats Nick... Fully deserved title this year

Glad you had a good time... should really have gone, but couldnt bring myself to sit in the middle of the curva with all you milanistas. The little kid i gave my ticket too was well chuffed though.

Had a great time at the juve game anyway... even though the result sucked

An unusual Sunday in Calcio: Roma, Juventus and Inter, sitting in 2nd, 3rd & 4th place at the start of the day, all play so horribly shitty and all lose looking like Serie B outfits. Is it that the end is near and these footballers are just so damn lazy, or is everyone saving themselves for Euro 2004?

I loved it how Capello went to calm down the Romanistas during the game, giving that little hand jesture. That jesture was probably secret Romanista code for "keep up the good work guys."
