What I also wonder about: why does Vinman insist on calling me a "reader"? As if reading books, a word he seems to hate, makes one unrealistic. I find this behaviour and this opinion odd because it goes against the very fundamentals of Western society.

I consider myself Swedish (well part). I grew up there but I'm not a citizen of Sweden. I speak the language fluently, majority of my friends are there, and now that I live outside it I can't wait for the day I go back.

Well, I read more than I want to because of school, but to some reading is like living in the past, while others would rather live in the present.

A friend of my brother, when he was attending the U. of Texas, got a Native American scholarship on the basis that he was able to genetically prove he was 1/32nd Cherokee. Immediately, he went around campus addressing all his white professors and college friends as "paleface".

It seemed most appropriate to me.
