when inzaghi gets in teh way of pirlo's free kick and scores, its a fuke

when kaka gets chopped down from behind, you just knew he was gonna go down

when milan pump the ball out, they are shell-shocked

i hate milan but god i hate the english commentators, they are bitching that liverpool deserved to wina nd milan are lucky. they fail to mention that with 2 shots off the line and dudek's lucky save milan could have scored 6 in the final 2 years ago.
I don't know how anybody could say Milan were lucky in both finals, doesn't make any sense whatsoever. The ref handed Pool so many favors in 2005 and today they did very little to persuade anybody people should feel sorry for them. Milan was the better team tonight and back in Istanbul, but in all honesty it's a joke these two teams were even in the final this year, but the Champions League has been somewhat of a joke this season anyway. Very little quality whatsoever.

Milan are once again the class of Europe.

To be honest, if it wasn't going to be Juve, I would much rather have it be Milan than anyone else.
I couldn't say that myself. I do respect Milan, however the likes of Berlusca and Galliani lifting the cup really don't sit well with me. Maldini is truly a champion though so I suppose that is the only bright spot regarding all of this. Being happy that one of our greatest rivals has five more European Cups than us makes me want to lose my lunch.

How goes it, Sergio?

I find it great. At least Milan pose big rivals. And to think that we beat these guys season in season out. You'd rather beat lowly teams like Liverpool?

Liverpool isn't a lowly team... they should be respected considering their history just like Milan. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever to be happy that a rival and their supporters are rejoicing right now while we are preparing for a match against Mantova. I could see why some Italians may think this is a little victory for Italia, but I'm not Italian so I have no stake in it.

In my case, especially regarding the Milan - Manure matchup, it might have seemed I was happy for Milan but that's not the case... I enjoyed watching Manure get owned and took pleasure in watching those jokes fall flat on their faces. I also enjoyed seeing Manure fans the next day looking as joyful as ever, probably not knowing their supposed side were knocked out of Europe. Fair-weather fans, 99% of them here. So the only pleasure I can take away from this is seeing the EPL marketers make excuses after their sides were outclassed once again.

As for Milan and Nick, congrats to them, they deserved to win this match. They do make Italy look better and it's good for Serie A as a whole, but the benefits to the league are nothing more than country bragging rights.

THIS Liverpool is a very lowly team, make no mistake. It's only because Milan respected them today and blundered two years ago that Pool looked good.

Historically speaking, Liverpool is one of the best out there.

This Liverpool team is nothing more than an amazing midfield with a lot of luck and glut of shitty players. But Benitez is a good manager... you have to give him some sort of credit. Much better than that idiot Capello.

Benitez, as far as I'm concerned, is brilliant. The problem with that is that he knows where the weaknesses of his players lie. Which is why he has to play dull, boring football and has to hope he'll get lucky. But that doesn't change the fact that Liverpool, in reality, is a shitty team.

As a team they're good and their midfield, along with Gerrard, really spurs them to victory. As individuals yeah, they're a squad of fucking garbage. One of the reasons why I can't stand this Pool team... watching players such as Kuyt, Crouch and Kewell in such a Final is really bad for football. Hopefully we won't be seeing these two sides anywhere near the finals in the coming few years, but unfortunately we probably will. Goddamnit.

I remember seeing Kewell start the game two years ago. I was watching the game in an Irish pub so I turned to the guy next to me and said:

- I really wouldn't have started with Kewell.
- Why not? He's got pace, technique and a great cross.
- So what? You know he's going to limp off after 15 minutes like usual.

So much to my amusement Kewell did indeed not finish the first half :D.

So when Carragher kicks the ball out of bounds it's considered a great defensive play by Tommy Smyth. But when Nesta comes from behind to perfectly tackle Gerrard, getting all ball while sliding, it's all luck, no skill.

That guy is a fucking imbecile. And people such as Paul wonder why some people here can't stand EPL marketers.
I don't know who the hell Tommy Smyth is but that Nesta tackle WAS class!

Watch out for them in the next couple of years. Tom Hicks and George Gillett don't mess around when it comes to spending what it takes to win. Funny how there was hardly any backlash over these guys taking over for Liverpool, unlike a couple of years ago when Malcom Glazer boutgh Man U. Man U is doing pretty well for themselves right about now, one would think. Certainly better than a couple of years ago.

You remember when a pool player and a milan player collided and made the ball fly up in the air? And there was a milan player and a pool player waiting for it to come down, and Tommy Smyth says "I don't understand why the referee can't give liverpool the advantage" :howler:

I've always thought that Benitez was better than Mourinho. He's done more with less the last couple of years.

What's wrong with constant entertainment anyway, Dan? Isn't that a partial reason why somebody such as yourself smokes up to get high? Or is it more appropriate and mature to sit and stare into a brick wall all afternoon?
:toast: spot on

i love jose and think he is a great manager but feel that rafa's achievements have been overlooked to an extent in the rush to praise mourinho. sure he is a world class coach but rafa has done more in europe with less

you took that from my mouth my man :agree:
someone had to say t man, i said that to my missus at teh end of teh game and that crook galliani should not be anywhere near a football team
