You didn't hear the quote, so I dont expect you know. There is no evidence whatsoever that the entire Italian football system is corrupted, and that goes from clubs such as Juventus all the way down to Catanzaro and Fermo. You didn't see what happened on the program, so in all honestly you're not really able to comment on this. What they stated was vague and almost could be construed as an insult to Italy as a whole. Our club might reside in dodgy waters, but the country shouldn't be subject to this sort of abuse.

The reason why I am so pissed about this is because many of the fans within this country will take these words as truths thinking that Italy is all mafioso and corrupt football. These sort of football fans love the likes of Manure and Arsenal and talk nonsense out of their ass because they hear it on TV. I'm not disgruntled by this because I support Juve... I'm fucking pissed because I support football AS A WHOLE. You have no idea how fucking ridiculous it is dealing with these EPL cunts day after day, thinking the Serie A is full of cheaters and unskilled players. This isn't about Serie A vs. EPL... this is about sanity and insanity with regard to football fans within my own country. I think I have a right to castigate such nonsense spoken by my supposed compatriot.
My objection isn't to the fact you defend Calcio and say Lalas is talking out of his ass. My objection is that you don't really say why. I mean, insinuating Calcio is corrupt isn't something new IMO. I don't even care about it. What I do care about is people insulting Italy.

As for EPL cunts. Well, a lot of people in Europe seem to love the Premier League and hate the Serie A. And I must admit, football in England ATM is simply of a higher level. I will always find teams such as Juve, Milan or Roma nicer to watch than I do Liverpool, but that doesn't mean I'm blind. I think you all too soon diss English football, Andy.

The reason WHY is because he's obviously trying to promote English and American football. Lalas was a member of Padova in 1994-1996, the time where Capello won the league with ease and Lippi did as well. Nobody back then was harping upon refereeing decisions or questioning the validity of Scudetti. All Lalas was back then was an average player for Padova, who managed to beat Juventus in the 1995 season. Have you ever heard accounts of match fixing stemming from players within this era? Have you ever heard any player from this era come out to insinuate that calcio is corrupt, stating that you just let thing slide for the bigger clubs? I'm not going to believe this nonsense if Alexi Lalas is the only player to say this subject to the history constrait.

He was asked about the validity of football in Italy... he responded by saying something too general and nonsensical which could be construed as an insult to the entire country. I believe his comments stem from the recent calciopoli stuff rather than what really happened in his time in Italy, and add to the fact he never talked about this stuff before... along with hundreds of other players... really doesn't make any sense.

Listen. You don't know what lengths the likes of Lalas and the FSC marketers will go to. Anything is possible. You really have to see it for your own eyes before commenting.

I always admit nowadays that the EPL is the best league in the world, but just not of my liking. Personally, I don't like hustle and bustle football because I have the NFL right here to watch my fucking self.

But the EPL cunts I'm talking about couldn't tell you who Almiron plays for.... FACT. These are the people i cannot fucking stand, Andries. You have to understand my hate for this ignorance.

You can say whatever you like, but Burke's humour isn't exactly mature.
But the thing is, I don't even know if you have a sense of humor or not. From what I've seen, you really don't even have one. Some of the thoughts I've seen you post have been funny, but nothing like that of others I have seen.

Lalas is a little faggot. I don't care if he's trying to promote football within my country... if he was paid by Manure to soak their corks, he would do it. Biased little bastard.
Hey -- I resemble that remark. :pumpkin:

Lalas might be harsh and a bit untruthful, because he apparently is promoting the EPL and the MLS.
And he is because that's where the American-owned sponsorship dollars are.

On that note, in the news today Nicolas Sarkozy gets the codes to France's nukes. How much you want to bet it's either "changeme" or "frog123". :agree:
