No I didn't and it's Sophocles, who wrote tragedies and who wouldn't form a great example to the point I'm trying to make. I agree that anyone who's more or less reasonable could understand Sophocles. Understanding certain events in history however, is far from as easy as you deem it to be. And like I've said before, the level at which history is being taught is fairly high in Belgium (as is pretty much anything else). Americans do have the best universities in Harvard and Yale, but overall Belgium scores pretty good when it comes to education.

I never disagreed about the fact people like you could provide wealth. However, I chose not to be one of them. Journalism, despite being somewhat vague, is something that always interested me and is the only job I see myself doing. One of the best ways to get there is studying history.

What a fucking coincidence. I'm about to go take my English exam, which is partly on Oedipus the King by Sophocles.
