I honestly don't know what the situation in Italy in the lower leagues is like. Since I (hopefully) will be going to Bologna for six months next year, I will try to find some team there, because not playing for six months sounds like a horrible prospect to me. I know of players, who played in the same division I did last year, who went to Australia and Japan to become pros though. Seems it's easier there, as they're still building up a league really.
A friend of mine who just came back from Italy played on an amateur team near Bologna for the past year while he was attending university there..

now, I've never seen you play Seven, but I have watched this guy, and he isnt bad at all.....but wasnt good enough for an amateur team there.

It scary just how good you have to be to do anything with football in the peninsula

You said it right Vin...its scary. I remember reading the stats once and they put our Baseball, B-Ball and Football stats to shame in terms of one's chances to make it pro in Italy.
System is simple: they will NOT keep anyone on for the sake of playing ..if at 11 they see you can't make it...you are out...go play in a house league...so by 16 you have players that all their life have been in the top to make it to the next level.

We use the same standard in our Shoe Fapping league. If you haven't popped the footwear of at least 25 different women by age 12, you have no future in Shoe Fapping. At which point you are either handed the blue sock or bought an inflatable playmate. In either case, you are out on your ass.

He means Algham, as in explosive mines ....
May I ask you please Rami, what special thing do you see in that post, a thing that I don't really see?

When I start to be serious, ßömßärdîër tells me that he is American and he is just having fun. Maybe I'm wrong or I have no sense of humour.

    ALL NICK, ALL THE TIME:

I have not touched a cigarette since Dec. 31, 2006. I was never one of those heavy pack a day smokers...never more than five a day actually....but still, it sick how addictive those fuckin things are and how they are allowed to be sold.
How do I feel 28 days later? Well, I really miss smoking...I don't really feel better because I'm always ready to sucker punch people for no reason and I'm as edgy and crazy as ever

    FUCK THE MARLBORO MAN

Don't worry about him. Bombardier lost two of his brothers in the World Trade Center, and now he hates all Muslims. It's just something he has to work on, so don't take him too seriously. He hates you because he suspects you are Muslim. :disagree:

Just a thought on the recent rumours: Why the hell would any club with Jose Mourinho as coach be thinking about a cock sucking Roberto Mancini who could not coach his way out of his own coffee can?

    Exaclty how does that work?
Well, considering owners of clubs have different amounts of money available to spend on their teams, you could have a situation where one club cannot compete against another because they cannot afford better players. This is sort of what happened with the New York Cosmos and NASL... there was usually just two teams competing for the prizes, and that didn't work for long. To ensure a long life, the MLS needed to make sure each team could compete so that they don't lose fans and backing of owners. Thus we have a salary cap. Or semi-salary cap nowadays, whatever the hell is going on.
