An actual conversation with my roomate which took place a few minutes ago:

Me: "Dude, change the channel to CNN so we can hear about Chavez's appearance in Harlem."

Corey: "Who cares about Chavez... who is he anyway?"

Me: "He's the President of Venezuela and is visiting the UN this week."

Corey: "Where is the UN? Is the UN in Harlem? Who cares about Chavez-Venezwhatever anyway."

I don't hate Jesus, he's youth sentiment to me. Mum used to read stories to me about him, and superman and indiana jones...
To me, christianity can be summed up in one moment.

"Life of Brian" had just seen the light and Cleese was confronted with some sort of priest at a talkshow. The priest told him Monty Python shouldn't have ridiculed Jesus, to which Cleese responded: "1000 years ago they would have killed me for this. Now I'm suggesting we made an advance.".

Basically the key to happiness is oblivion regarding... pretty much everything?
I do agree with that, can I achieve it? I think not, I don't have the will power.

I have a friend who is almost there, he will be leaving to the Himalayas for the fourth time (each of the previous times he stayed six months). He is telling us that this time he is not returning.

We shouldn't complain. We're western Europeans. It doesn't get much better than that. We get to chose whatever it is we want to do. If you want to be oblivious you can do so. If you're bored and want to end it all you can do so too. But being generally unhappy about what you *have* to do in this life simply isn't acceptable.

Credit where credit is due, now tell me what's the name of the president of Peru. And don't you go and google that, Thelma!
García Pérez, who is certainly not an ally of Hugo Chavez.

But I guess that question means you seriously doubt my knowledge of everything, you bastard. :D

when you are in Lebanon, trust me you will hate politics with passion.
Actually it is the opposite, the majority of people live on politics. I said majority because I am not one, but I barely know someone who is like me from Lebanon.
