Libero, I do not mean to sound as though I don't think Zizou was a good man and an excellent player at Juventus. I recognize this at the same time that I am bitter that his performances for Francia ALWAYS were better than his Juve performances. Ask any Juventino and I think you will find consensus that Nedved was a better Juventus player, Conte was a better Juventus player, Deschamps and Di Livio were better Juventus players. They were not as entertaining but a wise man once said that ZZ was always more pretty than useful . . . and he said that after selling ZZ for somethin like $60 Million. :p

You really are a moron, aren't you? Now you are just pathetic. This is not about Totti. It is about equal treatment. Zidane is a dirty bastard, and he is especially dirty because he sat in silence when the the world falsely accused Matrix of calling him a terrorist. It took Zidane 3 fucking days to set the record straight and admit that "Terrorist" was never said. But, Stupid Andy continues to use "terrorist".

Let me tell you this - Zidane is the dirtiest player to be employed by Juventus since the Triade took over in 1994. That includes hard men such as Montero and Davids. These were violent men who usually hit you in the run of play, in front of the ref. Usually. But Zidane never would give a hard tackle or a leg breaker - no, he would stomp on your back when you were on the ground. He would crack you with his head while you were helping him up. Remember when we needed to beat hamburg to stay in the CL and ZZ was seeing red early in the match? We needed his ass and he was in the shower. France needed his ass and he was in the shower.

This is why he was never Captain of Juventus.
Wow so Andy's words can evoke that kind of reaction from you and he did not even say them to your face did he? What would have happened if the writer of the article in the German paper ,Bild, actually said them to Gatusso's or anyother very patriotic Italian's face? How would he have reacted? But, yes, it is so easy to criticise Zidane for headbutting is it not? The person who said action speak louder than words is a moron as words hurt like hell. zidane did not take the cowardly way and spit at him. Zidane is the dirtiest player? Yes remember all the bad stuff he did at Juve and forget the good stuff. I do not frequent here cos little football is said, a lot of racial nonsense, homophobia and the like disguised as jokes. I mean people with hatred in their heart will love this thread. With the pretence that they are only joking they think they can get away with being racist , tribalistic and everything i oppose in life. Bestial jokes which are in very poor taste are the norm here as well. After all have been said and done , personally i think Zidane after Dp has been the best player to have played for Juve in the last 10 years

Dennis, would you like to know what I remember most about Zidane during his tenure at Juve??

Well, here it is.

The way he single handedly tried to hold Juve at gunpoint during the summer of 2001, even going on record as saying that "if it were up to him, he would already be at Real Madrid", and his insistence in only going there effectively nullified any chance of a bidding war.

Oh, here's the other thing I remember about him. His underhanded dealings with Real Madrid when he basically tried to broker his own deal, thereby "Allowing" Juventus to keep him for one more year, when he obviously didn't want to be there, and then transferring to Real the next season at a transfer fee of almost 1/3rd off of what Real was going to pay.

Could you imagine what would have happened if that had taken place??

Was he a great player?? Yes he was.

A great person?? Absolutely not, and in my 30 years of supporting Juventus, I honestly can't remember a situation that had infuriated me as much as that one 5 years ago.

Just like the Belgian player that got Kluivert sent of in WC 1998 by calling him a "Rapist" and provoking a punch. Brilliant!
Lorenzo Staelens. Kluivert elbowed him on the chest, Lorenzo fell dramaticly and held his face :p
