Nope, no to Gerrard, they have been at their clubs since they have played professionally.

And so, Torres is the captain and will not leave, same as with duck feet.
Actually, if Xabi and Luis have their way Torres or Villa will be playing at Liverpool in the fall. Also, we passed up on signing Aimar for free, so their is no way we're going to sell Stevie G.

I just found out that McBride's face is made out of titanium - 7 plates holding his chekks bones to his eye sockets. All from football injuries. Now I understand why he looks strange around his eyes.
He stayed the game against Italy only because the nerve damage in his face is so extensive that he can't feel pain.

Bottom line he is a clutch player that can put the ball in the net...he keeps the opposing defense on high alert...opens up space for other players and more importantly manages to find a way to be in the right place at the right time rather than be in the way. I believe if he was in the US game things could have been different...
by the way, his name is INZAGHI...even you could get it write after a few tries.

fully agree

Ahh the irony :p

Inzaghi was the first Juve player I liked; hope to see him get a run against the Czechs

Fernando Torres will not be leaving as his side have made a bunch of purchases, including the teenage sensation Aguerro and the two former Porto players. But Atletico Madrid always seem to make big player moves...last year it was Kezman and they still look like their usual selves of close but no cigar. They do have a stellar defense with Pablo and Perea, and if they can find some consistency next season I would not be surprised if they finish top four.

I think Italy will win 2-1 and the USA will win 3-2 after a dramatic last-gasp wonderstrike from Claudio Reyna.
Hasn't the U.S. pretty much lost every WC match where Reyna has started?

Captain and all, but he really needs to come up big in ways that I've never seen him do yet in big matches.

Milan jersey, nothing. With Juve, Milan, and everybody but Inter and Siena going down to Serie B or worse, a guy like Torres could buy all of what's left of Serie A with his salary.

I say think good next time, Nick...

Torres Flirts With Real Madrid Spain's rising star, while choosing to concentrate on the World Cup, had a few words on reports linking him with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have long been tracking the Atletico forward, and with the big clubs in Europe circling around him, and Real's own bid to rebuild following their presidential elections on July 2, it was only a matter of time before the links resurfaced.

“It is always good if the focus is on me, but right now, I prefer to focus on Spain, and not on myself," replied Torres when questioned about his future, and the emerging links with Real.

"Spain is the only thing that matters to me.”

However, it wasn't long before the journalists could get something out of him: "They are a great club, and it seems that they speak well of me. When the World Cup finishes, we will see.”

Real and Milan seem to be emerging as the leading contenders, as both could be willing to meet the 40 million price tag slapped on him by Atletico. Arsenal and Manchester United have also been interested
