That's because we don't make our own up.

Seriously, baseball? Which evil creates a game like that? Could you even call it a sport?

Sure it sucks, but millions of people across USA, Mexico, South America, Central America, the Caribean Islands, Japan and Korea are in love with it --- and it draws athletes away from the real sport.

Don't tell me. Tell the Kosovars to just chill and let the Serbs massacre them.
That's not what I was aiming at and you know it.

What I was aiming at is things like invading Iraq when there's was no authorisation to do so. And don't talk bullshit about setting up a democratic system. Because not only is it not America's duty to choose which political system a country should use, they also have installed and protected dictators in the past.

And what about massacring parts of Afghanistan as a pure act of vengeance? I thought vendetta didn't have his place in global politics. Not to mention what America is doing to "possible terrorists" in Guantanamo.

A Korean in a baseball outfit just looks wrong.

Well Democracy is complete bullshit, I'll give you that. It is not practiced here in the USA so they have no businesss exporting it to someone else who has no use for it. So we agree on that.

Afghanistan - well I say they got what they deserved. Take your best shot at the big boys then you better be prepared for the consequences. I think the Americans would be justified in carpet bombing all Taliban positions back into the stone age - you know, spoils of war and all that. Afghanistan invited their war, it would have been rude not to accept it.

Guantanimo is an international disgrace, and I don't see it getting much better.

Vive la France, but still 0-0.

What about the Americans dying in Iraq though? Is that a nice move by your government? And what about the deceased soldiers not even earning a mention? I'm not someone who hands out praise too easily to soldiers who are fighting the wrong battle, but anyone who gave his life fighting for what he believed in should have been given at least some respect.

Oh and what about you being stripped from your civil rights? Rights that were so carefully instructed in the constitution. Rights Americans have always thought so high of. But alright, if you think I'm just some idiotic Belgian punk that's alright with me. After all I just find the American government annoying. It's you they rape day in day out.

You really don't know the system works in the USA. The American government does not rape me becuase the American government has zero contact with me, except for my tax bill being due every April 15th. The State of North Carolina government has contact with me and has not taken away too many of my civil rights. Not yet anyway. And, i never said you were an idiotic punk, in fact my last post was agreeing with some of what you said.

Of course, you might have aimed that Nick.

I did aim that at Nick. And I was referring to the Patriot Act, which effectively took away some of your civil rights.

Oh shit, I did forget about that. Yes, apparently the gov is listening in on all my telephone conversations in case I am a terrorist. I hope they realize that the term "Fapping in a shoe" actually means fapping in a shoe.

What a damn joke the USA was..after all the 'respect us' and 'watch out' and group of death talk they simply fizzled..offering less than the likes of Iran, Angola or Trinidad and Tobago who are ranked way down the list...I actually believed Andy's hype and picked the US to finish second in the group in a pool I am in..what a mistake...
To think people warned Italy to watch out for the US. To compare them to Ghana is a disrespect to Ghana who offered more than the US did..Ghana did well in the second half yet had no forwards of any sort to put the ball in..
Great game by Cannavaro and Pirlo...despite reports I saw good chemistry between Toni and Gilardino...Gilardino compliments Toni and gave him some nifty passes...
I am sort of relieved because on a somewhat off day Italy still won 2-0 with the usual suspects: Toni Gilardino Totti not scoring...USA game will be target practice for and a scrimmage for the Czech match up.
Nick, we are still going to finish second in our group.

The biggest critics Vinman and myself are American so we are allowed! Look, this just confirms that the FIFA rankings are a damn joke...its one thing winning in Concacaf and its another beating a European or South American team...you can beat Barbados and Canada all you like (as Vin stated) but it doesn't mean you will even come close to European teams...
To be honest I am disappointed because I declined the Ghana match and bought a USA-ITALY ticket which cost me the hand of Christ to get...I really thought it would be a great match up and USA was going to be the dark horse in the group..now I have to find a way to get a Czech Italy ticket....

Mark my words: Toni-Gila-Totti will rip them apart
Do you know how many times the US plays Canada and Barbados in a four year period? We play them exactly twice over a four year period if they are in our qualification group. To call the US out for playing Canada and Barbados is like calling Italy out for having to play San Marino.

I suppose you've never heard of the Gold Cup either.

Anyway, the US isn't out of it yet. There are still two games left. Italy will be a miracle to win but is more visible as a tie. We will have to win to move on. The Czech - Ghana match will probably end in a tie as neither team have forwards. And I see the same result for the Czech - Italy match as well. As you know this will mean the US needs to win against Ghana as well. While this is highly improbable, its not impossible. Our coach is certainly no Fabio Capello.

Aaron, I am not anti-US soccer at all. I know how good they are/arent, and being an American, and hearing all the crap that fools who supposedly know soccer like Marcelo Balboa and Allen Hopkins give us, all I can say is enough is enough.
Understood. The announcers are indeed ridculously hopeful in there opinions.
