Indeed. I would like to employ O'Brien against Rosicky and Nedved...he would certainly give them a bunch of hell. Considering our defense is not exactly solid I think the best course of action is to beat the Czechs on the flanks and never stop pressuring their defense. But Bruce will probably field his usual 4-3-1-2 so that could mean no Convey and instead O'Brien, Reyna, and Beasley in midfield. If I was in his position I would probably just play McBride up top with Donovan behind him and the Beasley-Convey duo on the wings. And against Italy I haven't even begun to think about that match yet.

I guess you forget we have a pit bull on our bench that enjoys nothing but pissing off the world's finest midflielders and forwards. The man who took a Blanco punch to the face and just smiled. Im talking about Pablo Mastroani. He well no doubt play against Italy and may field strong minutes against the Czechs should we get an early goal. Against Italy he will have only on mission: Piss off Totti. Forget about Pirlo he will have to worry about two of our three 5'6 tireless terriers dogging his ass all day long. The key to winning in Germany is putting the ball in the net and then letting Pablo piss people off.

The objectives against Nedved and Totti are simple: fuck them up and get them off their game. When both of those players are shut down, their sides are usually halted as well.

The major facet will be putting the ball in the net indeed, and that's why I'm not happy about seeing the shyness in front of goal during these recent friendlies.

I wouldn't say we were shy against Latvia. The keeper did make a few saves. But Johnson and McBride were as agressive as ever. I wouldn't worry too much if we keep it up the ball will eventually go in.
