Seems like it....he and Kaka. Milan should have come out of this with a goal...after the first half ended I knew that wouldn't happen..they failed to capitalize in the first half and then didn't have any other chances.

Playing at San Siro is no easy feat for the Frenchies but on the other hand having to play Lyon at home (Milan) is also a scary ass thought for Milan....a goal will dig your hole faster than you can say 'elimination'.
Sheva was unlucky not to score in the first half...Coupet was impressive (2 unbelievable leg saves)

I thought Milan had a bad second half...it either seemed like they were purposely playing catenaccio, or were dead tired. Lyon had way too many attacks, and luckily they werent able to score

Things could be worse Nick, you guys could be in our shoes right now, with virtually no chance of advancing, and an incompetent coach who is purposely trying to sabotage the team

I fully expected Milan to come away from Lyon with a draw (though 1-1, not 0-0). No surprise there. I also predicted Juve would come home from Arsenal down 2-0, no surprise there either. And I also picked Inter to be up 2-1.

So if my success rate is any indicator, expect Milan to go through, Juve to get clean sheeted again, and Inter to sink in the return leg.

I'm sorry, but is there some kind of a hidden death wish in this post? :D

Milan...I wasn't convinced....at all. The fact is that in the first half they battled hard and had good possession. Played solid defense all game but could not break Lyon. Lyon was unable to score goals ... in the second half the game was all theirs as they outran Milan yet they couldn't do a damn thing....
Sheva was WAY off his game and the midfield at some points was non-existent. It will take consistentcy..concentration and luck to get through Lyon....
Sheva wasn't WAY off his game as you're describing it....he was just unlucky not to score in the 1st half.

About Milans performance, I think you should be convinced as Milan showed ambition AND strength till the END. And as I said before Juventini here can call me whatever they want, I simply Admire Milan Style.

And try not to forget that BELLY and unfit Paolo managed to do their Job perfectly.

However, I expect them to dominate on the 4th.....and qualify....Hopefully(Though I'm not Italian, But I'd always love to see Italian sides qualifyng.

Are you saying Coupet was just better?

So after the first leg of the quarterfinals we can easily contemplate having all the Italian teams out of the tournament come this time next week...
Juve...I'm not going to rub any more salt in that wound because the display or lack of it by supposed 'key' players spoke for itself.
Inter...can never forget that they are INTER...haven't needed to change their team scarf since 1989 and remain the most unpredictable team in football...with an over-rated inept coach.

Well said Nick. You are the only Milanista I respect.

Ramsies, my brother, I meant Vaginas. We refer to Maldinis as vaginas in this forum. I meant get the pussies out of football. Even Nick got it. Come on baby, you're better than that.

i know, that avatar of his has been eyeing me for a while. :scared:
Scary to think that it's grown on me enough where I don't care to part with it (though I have been tempted to adopt a little of the anti-Capello trend going around).

And nah -- no death wish. I only wish for a performance by Juve in the elimination rounds of the CL that's worthy of the club and the talent they have.

You guys deserve better than you get in the CL. Seriously.
