Ur first paragraph is true. He was a "doctor" but with a lot of warfare affairs.
He indeed occupied those charges u mentiones, but in fact he failed in all of them because of his lack of knowledge in the subjects. He was even in charge of some ministry of peasants of something like that, in which he failed too.

In the end he was sent to Bolivia by Fidel himself, as the later didnt wanted top share more protagonism with him in the movie, so it was better to send the crazy Che to an impossible task.

But taking out his military issues and the lot of people he killed , Che was a cool guy

Don't know how many italian citizens are in North America or Central America but you may not realize that for the first time Italian citizens abroad (not necessarily born in Italy but with a passport like myself) can vote in the upcoming general elections. Well, the biographies put him like "the doctor who fought for liberty and died for the poor ones" but....

I have to agree that to some extend, Che Guevara was someone who felt deeply uncomfort about how the indians and the natives of america were threated, even when he was not from indian roots. He had a good sense of justice, but like u said, his ignorance and his will to "throw some bullets" maybe twisted his path.

He had the potential to be a great leader but for some reasons, maybe ignorance, he disgraced himself.

Some see him as a hero, but the fact that he killed a lot, lot of people in his way (and im not talking about the soldiers he killed in battlefield) show his other brutal self.

IMO it all resumes in his youth. He was a guy who felt kinda bad about poor indians, who didnt wanted to really study, and his main worries were to have some adventure somewhere, without much purpouse.
