In Scotish League, I like Hibs. I guess that is your bitter rival?
damn right they are our biggest rivals, since 1875 we have been whipping their ass,cup semi-final between us in two weeks time, after the sacking of our coach im not as confident and hibs have not won the cup for 104 years so we gotta stop them getting to the final as the other semi is a 1st division v 2nd division tie so winners of hearts hibs will almost certainly win it

let me get this straight...

USA, the fifth-ranked team accoring to the FIFA (LOL) standings was own3d today by a Germany team that isnt even in the top 20 FIFA (LOL) rankings...

my question of course is what position should Italy, who completely manhandled the Germans, be ranked ???

According to what happened today, they should be at least considered for 4th spot

The USA's upcoming friendlies in preparation for the WC, are Jamaica, Morocco, Latvia, and Venezuela. Someone please tell me how this might prepare the Americans to face teams like Italy and the Czech Republic in round 1 ??

Havent the USA had enough pushover teams to beat on in the last couple years since WC 2002, to "earn" the ranking of 5th in the world ???

Hey Vinni, Im from Venezuela so more respect to my 60th placed team please :D

Klinsmann fired? Today? I don't think so.

Well Andy, I guess your NT sucked an egg today. Next time, try not to put the jinx on the them.
Please. Shame you have to use the word "your" instead of "our" to complete the sentence.

Before you ramble on again with this nonsensical rant (like it even matters anyway), I would like to know if you actually watched the match, Vinni. Secondly, seeing that this is once again only a friendly, you seriously cannot use this as evidence for predicting what will happen come June. Klinsmann essentially fielded a sqaud of first-teamers tonight, against my team which was nothing more than an experimental squad filled with players such as Wolffe, Ching, Conrad, and Klein; a group of players who don't have a prayer of receiving any playing time this summer. We actually played rather well in the first half, however fell apart in the second when Arena started to make changes to the side. I think it's fair to conclude a first-team Germany side will usually beat a second-team United States sqaud on their own soil.

Ranting and raving about the FIFA rankings really doesn't make any sense to me, because even I admit my side is not in the top ten. Infact, I detest FIFA for ranking us so high because it just makes no sense. But all these rankings mean absolutely nothing in football, so who cares. I'm frustrated with the result, however considering we were not able to field Beasley, Donovan, Onyewu, Lewis, Reyna, Dempsey, McBride, O'Brien and others...I suppose a loss was to be expected. Especially considering how the media was all over Klinsmann and Germany after losing to your side in ITALY a few weeks ago. Does that mean the Azzurri will do the same to the Germans this summer? Nope. Doesnt mean anything at all.

not sure that rule holds for all americans i.e mexicans and italians
No, it most certainly doesn't. Infact, I don't know a Mexican American who supports the United States over Mexico. I even know a couple kids who were born here and live off of the government's pocket, however they still support Mexico and don't give a care to their home country. Besides Sergio, I don't know a hardcore Italian-American who says he supports both countries equally. Such behavior is very worrying to me because our American football needs all the support it can get, however with everybody supporting their "other" nations we are really missing out on people who know their football. I mean sheesh, at least show some support for your adopted country. Don't get me wrong, I'm no right-wing extremist, however such behavior of not giving a care to your own country's team just makes me sick.

Im assuming you didnt watch the game. The US didnt get owned and it was a good match until the 70th minute. If you look at the rosters for the day you'll notice that Germany played their strongest squad and the US didnt. Many of the US regulars were not able to to play. Germany should have won, since it was basically a game against MLS all stars. The US probably isnt a top five team in the world and the Czech Rep is also not second best. And yes Italy does deserve a higher ranking. Even though its reason is a home win over a lackluster Germany squad with the youngest back four in the world. But come summer Ill be betting my money on the red, white, and blue not some underachieving Azzurri squad that has managed to choke itself out of the last couple World Cups.

I sincerely hope Venezuela improves as a football nation, and with Arango playing well with Mallorca they have a leader to help guide them along. However, Chavez should seriously be assassinated so that Venezuela will be spared from any further abuse from that cunt of a man.

A question for the Americans here:
why did the players turned themselves to the other side, while the national hymne was going on??
They were probably facing the American flag if there was one in the stadium.

Word my friend! We were close to get to the world cup but we have no expirience, and playing against Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay, Ecuador is very tough. Anyway Arango is doing great, he's our hero here in Venezuela. NOT Chavez!!! :(

Btw in USA you heard what he told last weekend to bush?

And they could perhaps choke again. I sincerely hope they do during their second match, thats for sure.

Totti could recover from injury on time and finally complete his hattrick of fuckups by picking up the ball and throwing it into his own net.
