Yeah and if they win the Champions League, then all this smack talk is a moot point.

I'd take a CL trophy over 5 scudetti any day of the week.
I think I would as well, to be honest, I mean whats domestic superiority if you can't hack it in europe?

Am I the only one here who thinks that Milan got screwed??
If anyone got screwed today it was us. Both Nesta and Inzaghi should have received red cards. Milan's penalty appeals were ridiculous: Cafu fouled Zambrotta first and the Cannavaro one.. well, please..

scudetti comes first the CL is a Bonus
its actually the opposite in terms of prestige..revenue and in the words of Moggi was actually that 1 is worth 5 so Sergio was spot on.
This was not the usual Milan playing nor was it in PSV..10 matches in a month is taking its toll. Its simply asking too much to win both win a team like Juve is on par with you.
I did not see the replays so I cannot say whether there was a controversial call..
anyhow I had to lay low after the match and (currently I am staying with a friend in Lake Como - close to MIlan) because I pissed off the wrong Milanistis in the Curva..I had bigger fish to fry today ..came within an hair of getting pummeled by 12 roid pumping ultras. LONG STORY.
That said. Seven I have no clue what you mean when you say ever been to Italy...the Juve fans still have that hang up about the Manchester match. Your train of thought was the opposite of the juventini in Italy.
later...I have to figure out how to be allowed back in the Curve for future matches :groan:

Of a lot of Juventini perhaps yes, because we've won the scudetto so many times. To most other teams, lo scudetto is more important than European football. IMO there weren't any contoversial calls. I do admit that this wasn't the usual Milan playing and that Juventus were pretty weak in the second half.

Zambrotta's pulldown of Cafu in the Box?
Cannavaro blocking that shot inside the box with his arm??
    Incorrect on both accounts.

Zambrotta and Cafu BOTH were fighting hard for the ball, BOTH used their hands in pushing and tugging at each other's shirts. Cafu had a part in bringing Zambrotta down, and the latter took down Cafu unintentionally. That was just a hard scuffle on both accounts.

Cannavaro did not really block the shot with his arm per se, more like blocking it with his arm pit. He went down to block the shot with his arm in the air, no intention at all to play the ball with his arn, and the ball really didn't strike his arm afterall. Like I said it basically struck his left side of the chest and arm pit.

Milan has nothing to moan about after this match besides their own performance. If they play the same way against Liverpool they will lose the Final 1-0, so Ancelotti better gather his troops together and fix his team's problem. As I think somebody said earlier Ancelotti might be in trouble if Milan concedes the Scudetto and CL Final, however I doubt he would be fired for only one season of foul-ups.

And I forgot to mention how great of a win that was today. Perhaps one of the best performances this season.

Juve for the Scudetto, Milan for the Champions League

What do you mean can't hack it in Europe? We only have less success in Europe than five other clubs.

Agreed on all accounts, and yes Ancelotti will not be fired for a good while. A final in the CL and level until the last match day is not much to be ashamed about.

That and Zambrotta had a clear positional advantage to begin with. I really admired Collina in how he called the game. It was as if he took the attitude of, "This is a huge game, and if you're going to score in this one you had better earn it -- because I'm not giving out a little charity here and there." Forza Collina. It wasn't an easy match to call, but I really admire how he steered things to ensure the players, and not the refs, won the match.

Cannavaro did not really block the shot with his arm per se, more like blocking it with his arm pit. The ball played the player; the player didn't play the ball. Collina saw the whole thing and clearly waved it off without hesitation.

It was an outstanding match, IMO. This was one for the ages. E' stato un classico. Before the match, I was not particularly enthralled with the match-up because there's still so much that can happen in the Scudetto race following this match. But this game delivered with drama and intensity in a big way.

Juve were great in their aggressiveness in the first half -- some truly inspired crosses and attacking, where they truly looked impassioned to score in a way I have not seen all season. And Buffon? That guy was an animal. There was a fire in him ... he was pumping his fists and screaming with each awesome save, with each fling into harms way performed by Gianluca "I will eat this goal post before I let Inzaghi score" Zambrotta.

Inspired attack in the first half. Inspired defense and threatening counterattacks in the second. But you don't have to be a juventino to recognize how this game lived up to the hype. God, I love Serie A.

There's something of a bizarre, almost contradictory truth that could play out this year as it has in past years: where Milan is the best team in Europe, but Juve are the best team in Italy.

The way we attacked Milan was oustanding, they couldn't handle our presence on the wings. I bet there were quite a few people surprised that we came out attacking Milan, however when clubs do that they seem to cause them a lot of problems; PSV last week, Juventus today.

And like I stated in the match thread we played with the utmost passion and spirit along with great concentration. It's these sort of performances that make you proud to be a Juventus fan, something we have not seen much of this season. Everybody was saying we would get knocked down in this match, however we showed those detractors rather well.

And I love Serie A as well. Always the best in my book. :touched:

Just watching Laola (a sports show on german TV station DSF) and the commentator, who I think we can all presume is neutral, also said neither of the incidents was a penalty.

He also made a smartass comment about Pippo, saying "Typical Pippo, he clearly handballed, but after not getting a penalty you can see all the amazement and sadness of the world in his eyes".

Or something like that, my German isnt that good. Actually, I only understood half f it, had to guess the other haf, but it went along those lines :D

I'd like to read your long story at the Curva Nick.

Stop arguing about these 2 situations, it was correct that they were not called.

Where is that talk of "We will get burned"? Didn't you predict a 3-0 for Milan??? Dude, whats wrong? Where is your convidence now? I gues like Milan, on the bottom.

That was by far the best day of my life as a Juvefan, and I would have paid millions to see your face after that goal, and laugh at you. Oh, that would have been so great!
