Lucky girl. Sounds like a place I would want to be right now, drinking my face off of course.

I'm about to go enjoy some fine Bavarian cuisine and meet up with the master Bavarian himself, Mr. Burke.
I'm sorry. For a minute there I thought you wrote "fine Bavarian cuisine".

Which, if it doesn't come in a glass boot, is generally suspect.

Boz-man I posted in the thread. :)

Andy, if you ever get here for Carnival you would LOVE it. Really it's one of the best celebrations you can find. Lately though the costumes have been getting as bad as those of the Brazilians. :p I am sure that you male folk would probably enjoy seeing them though. ;)

And yay I made 1000 posts. :p Well 1001 if you want to get technical.

Vieri totally owned Baresi that day. And Jugovic ... hoo Jugovic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr8GF6Q44X4

Why can't we play such simple and efficient football anymore?
Tacchinardi, Jugovic, Di Livio, Ferrara, Zidane, Peruzzi, Boksic, Dimas. :touched: Those were the good old days for sure.

Apart from the class of Tachinardi's chip into the box for Vieri and Jugovic being the machine he was, I also loved the highlight of Zizou dribbling the ball out of our own zone with such calmness and class. And our team chemistry throughout those early Lippi years was something remarkable considering the player turnover, including Vieri's short stint at the club.

Thanks for the link, Geof.

This cuisine is fine compared to the Ramen Noodles and Papa John's I live with in State College. ;)

But actually I haven't really tried German cuisine since I was very young. My parents found this little establishment in our area, tried it, and supposedly it's very good. We shall see how the food tastes when meeting my taste buds though... but I'm sure the Bier Vom Fass will be treating me right tonight.

Congrats Risa. :D

I must enjoy Carnival at least once in my lifetime. Perhaps Burke and I will be making a pilgrimage to Trinidad and Venezuela to partake in the festivities... and certainly have a look at some of those fine fine costumes.

The funny thing about German or Bavarian food is that you're predisposed to think, "schnitzel...again!!!" when sometimes good German restaurants can serve some pretty decent stuff.

Even if you need the aid of earth-moving equipment to lift your ass outta there when you are done eating.

A friend of mine that works for DC United says there are credible reports that Zidane might be coming out of retirement and that he's joining Chicago. Any news on this?

I heard this, but I heard that he was joining the NY Redbulls, this is because I saw a show in which he was watching a NY Knicks game, and if you know anything about the Knicks, why in the FUCK would you want to watch them? They are horrid.
The Bears new defensive coordinator?? :D
Yea, go ahead, laugh it up.
